“Clean room and staff”

“The stay was not bad. Unfortunately our smoke alarm detector went off not once but twice within an hour at 2:30 AM. The first time it went off, the gentleman at the front desk said there was no fire and probably someone smoking nearby. The second time it went off, we went to the front desk and he came to the room and took it off saying it probably needed batteries. Needless to say not a restful night. The manager in the morning said, oh well there was nothing she could do about it as far as……

“The cabin was very nice. I called the host with a question and was disappointed in the friendliness of the conversation.”

“Did not actually stay here after getting on property. Place was visibly dirty with several broken or obviously poorly repaired items. Staff was not helpful or understanding. There was a note on the nightstand labed "Tips here" Pool and hot tub were also broken. Did not feel it was safe to stay here.”

“I want to rave about this B&B. However, I just can't. From the beginning I was a bit worried. Not what I expected from pictures and description. Directly across from active train tracks. The interior is definitely old, more like a museum than a welcoming romantic retreat. The owner was very enthusiastic and that was pleasant. Once we got to our room the museum vibe continued. Extremely small room, so small there was really no place to put luggage. I get it, older places tend to be……

“Check in was simple. Room was very small (that's ok) Had a K cup coffee maker with no k cups or or drinking cups. No ice machine or ice bucket, the guys at the creamery gave us cups of ice. Hair dryer was falling off the wall and sounded like it was going to catch on fire. Toilet ran non stop. Shower curtain to short and all the water goes onto the floor. Only 2 towels. AC worked good and TV was nice. It has the potential to be a really nice place.”

“This place was very nice. It was very modern inside and a quiet country setting outside. We loved having a fire pit and being so close to the park. We would definitely stay here again.”

First room had a musty smell (with a plug in air freshener to try to hide the smell), stains and burn marks on the bedding, and a shorted out bathroom light (presumably from a leak from the bathroom in the room upstairs). Door wasn't sealed well, could see outside from the room. We had to switch rooms due to the shorted out light... But the second room was even worse.. Second room had a musty smell (no plug in air freshener to cover up), burn marks in the bedding, and a shorted out……

“If you move in and find a lot of bugs, I have a good method to get rid of them without having to do it by hand. You can catch the bugs in the trash can and flush them down the toilet. But it's difficult to flush the bug corpses out of the room's toilet.”
