The Downtown Retreat - Heart of Redfern
Welcome to our unique abode nestled in the vibrant heart of Redfern. The Downtown Retreat has been freshly furnished, perfect for your stay in the heart of Inner Sydney.
A 5 minute walk to Redfern Station and a 3 minute walk to Redfern Park, our home is centrally located whether you are coming to Sydney for work or to explore our wonderful city.
The Downtowner has a secure private carspace for 1 car, as well as ample secure visitor parking (subject to avalibility), this is your perfect home!
We are a company that does a lot of travelling so our best means of contact would be either through the app or please email us and my Team will respond as soon as possible!
HOUSE RULES
* Check-in: After 3:00 pm
* Checkout: 10:00 am
* No smoking
* No parties or events
*No pets allowed
* The home can accommodate up to 6 guests with an air mattress upon request, with a fee of $140. Please let us know upon booking if this option is required.
ADDITIONAL RULES
*As per the Short Term Legislation Act 2020 NSW, all guests are required to obey these rules. For extra guests/day visitors, we must be informed for liability purposes.
*In compliance with applicable legislation, we are required to enter a Short Term Rental Agreement with Guests upon booking. We are also transitioning from collecting a Security Deposit and will now be using a Pre-Authority form to hold as a form of security for your stay.
*Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission.
*This home is a strictly no-smoking property. If any of our cleaners find any form of cigarette ash, butts or smell cigarettes in the home, we could issue a $500 fine.
*This is a domestic residence and we love our neighbours. We do not allow loitering out the front of the building or in the common areas. Please respect our home and neighbours. We ask for minimal noise in the common areas, especially after 9 pm.
*STRA Rules - By booking this home you automatically agree to all the STRA terms and conditions that are applicable to guests. You also agree that if you do break any of the house rules you will be asked to leave and no refund of the unused nightly rates will be returned.
*Check-in/Check-out - We cannot stress enough the importance of checking out on time. Our regular check-in time is after 3 pm and check-out time is before to 10 am. If you wish to have an earlier check-in or later check-out, please reach out to us first. Please note, there may be a charge.
*Changing of Dates Terms & Conditions
- Requests to change booking dates may only be accommodated if check-in is more than 1 month away.
- This is subject to approval and we reserve the right to decline any requests.
- Please note that there may be a surcharge to change the dates.
- Any changes to bookings are subject to approval and we ask all guests to reach out to us first.
THINGS TO KNOW
* Checkin details will be sent either the night before checking in, or the morning of check-in for security reasons.
* We only provide 1 set of keys for each stay. We do not have extra sets.
*Please note, there is only an aircon unit in the living room. There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms.
*Building works will be taking place from September 2025 to March 2026. Scaffolding will be set up at the front of the building (near the mailboxes and car park entrance). This should not cause significant disruption, as the scaffolding will not cover the entire frontage at once. Instead, it will be installed in sections, with each section expected to remain for approximately 12–16 weeks, depending on the work required. Additionally, the apartment entry doors and door frames (exterior only) will also be painted. Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 15, and will continue for several weeks. Please note that during this period, workers may knock on your door to request it be opened briefly so they can complete the painting.
