Nice weekend trying to get to know the area. The cabin was GREAT and the view, wow. Very clean and kitchen completely outfitted. The only suggestion is to put a tv in the living area so that you can enjoy a fire and a movie at the same time. Alarm is a bit annoying but information was provided up front on how to manage!

Wonderful 3 day weekend

We are so incredibly thankful we found this place! It was so wonderful! It was clean, quiet, and peaceful. Our friends really enjoyed it! We wanted to use the outdoor fire but it was not working, but that did not ruin our trip, we really had not time to use it. The beds slept wonderful! Thank you for our wonderful stay!

Once you get past the road up to the cabin, the property is awesome. Bring a good book because the TV service and Wifi are pretty sketchy. But the view can't be beat!

This is the quintessential mountain house. Beautiful view. Kids loved the movie room. At first, the climb up the mountain is nerve-wracking for this Florida family, but we quickly adjusted. We had a wonderful time. Just what we wanted!

Closer would be nice, but...

The views were the best of anyplace I have stayed, and the isolation I can't say enough about. For me, this place is location, location, location. Problems were: rockers on deck in poor shape and seemingly too few for the capacity; pool room sadly too small, and the cues need tips. The road to the cabin was not as bad as feared, never needed the 4WD. Yes, I would go back.

What a view!

We booked this lovely log cabin for the view from the porch and it definitely didn't disappoint! Loved the coziness and the windows to the mountains. Kids got a kick out of the movie room and the pool table. Driveway was certainly as treacherous as advertised... we definitely considered parking at the bottom of the hill and walking but powered through. Kitchen is fully stocked for cooking, but bring your own coffee. This is really a beautiful retreat for anyone that loves a view!!

mountain cabin

I wish the driveway was paved all of the way. We couldn't make it up on the first try. We had to back down a ways and get a running start up the steep grade. Once at the cabin, we had a great time. The view is the best we have ever had! The cabin was very nice. The beds were comfy. We enjoyed the pool table and watching movies each night in the movie room. I do wish there was a tv on the main floor living room. We had a wonderful time.

Great view!

The cabin was well stocked. Plenty of towels and washcloths. The kitchen was small but well stocked. The view was amazing. Downstairs game room was a hit although some pool sticks need replacing. Never did figure out all the remote controls for the TV downstairs so we had to watch movies by casting from a phone. The rocking chairs on the deck were broken and also the firepit. There was a firepit still in the box unopened but we didn't want to open it without being told we could. All in all it was a very cozy cabin and we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

Beautiful View & Secluded

Pretty cabin, beautiful view, and secluded but be warned the drive up is not for the faint of heart. 😉 We thought we'd be fine in our 4x4 Truck, but our 4x4 3/4 ton LWB was really just too big for the tight turns. The cabin overall could use some refreshing, but still nice, appeared clean, and we enjoyed our stay. Some notes, no wifi was available. All of the pool cue sticks were missing tips. Bedding and pillows need updated/refreshed. Missing decor on the walls; not sure what was up with leaving the nails behind to make it so obvious. Did I mention the view!? Great view and beautiful skies!

Views are outstanding ! House was clean! Very quiet and peaceful! Only issue is we called after hours stated downstairs in laundry room-when we didn’t have hot water. The number printed was for “Smoky Mountain Getaways” a business and number that no longer exist-so no response. Called Vacasa local management-no return call. We didn’t have hot water for two days until we took the matter in our own hands. After research we figured the Pilate Light was out in water heater and fixed it. To this day we have not received a return call. But the house itself is clean, beautiful and relaxing.

Vacation in the Clouds

The cabin was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The location was also excellent. The drive up is via very steep switchbacks that are a bit rough in sections so arrive before dark! We were given a door code to unlock the door however, there was a deadbolt engaged when we arrived and code did not unlock this. We had to call property manager to obtain a different code for a separate lock box which contained key for deadbolt. Had we been unable to reach a human, we would not have been able to enter. This should not happen. All entrance requirements should be clearly communicated in advance. Also, outside wood rockers had very wet cushions and because they sit there constantly, the seats of chairs are rotting. Cushions should be stored inside and maybe chairs should be moved to covered section of porch to protect them from the elements. All this being said, we love the cabin and the lication and would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Very nice cabin but needs deck furniture!

1) Wonderful view!!! 2) Deck had ONE good rocking chair and one broken down chair....this cabin sleeps six people (we were 4) but only one chair!! The one rocking chair was very nice and new, but only one.... 3) Vacasa texted us the day prior to us leaving home and told us that the air conditioning was down and was being worked on. This was in July, in the South! We did not know if the air had been repaired until we were leaving home on the day of arrival. We had a two hour drive and the other couple joining us had a six hour drive and neither of us knew if the air would be working! Vacasa needs better communication, IMO. 4) Note that the second bath is down a long and steep staircase in the basement. There are two bedrooms on the main floor and one in the loft, but only one bathroom to service all three bedrooms. We were using only two of the bedrooms so it was not terribly inconvenient for us, but be aware. 5) The Security System is terrible!!! Both couples are in our 70's and both of us have security systems in our homes, but they are easy to use. Somehow the security alarm went off during the night (we thought it was disarmed) and the police came to check on us.... Just be aware! 6) Having stated those issues, we LOVED this cabin and the view and highly recommend it! By the time we arrived the air was working very good as were all other systems (except the crazy security system). 7) One final note, the roads up to the cabin are a bit rough, very narrow with sharp turns, just be aware.... We had full sized trucks which made the trip without issue. Go here, enjoy the view!! If you must have activity all of the time the road makes going and coming a bit of a chore....but if, like us, you love to sit and read on a deck overlooking a beautiful mountain view, this is the place!!

The Great Getaway

House and area where as good as it gets. The location is conveniently located close to attractions and amenities. We wanted a relaxing laid-back vacation this place delivered. Plus nobody around very secluded privacy is everything when looking to relax. Only advice take your time on road to house as it is narrow.

Beautiful Home. Amazing views

Cloud Walk is a gorgeous home. So nicely decorated and just as described. Very well stocked. Had everything we needed. Offered nice amenities and extra touches. We used the grill and the firepit in the evenings while looking out at the mountains. The shower on the bottom floor was very nice. Beds are very comfortable. Leather furniture made it easy to relax and just take in the view. We enjoyed our stay at Cloud Walk.
