Definitely a place for Serenity!!!

This was our second time staying there and we loved it more than the first. It’s SO relaxing to come home after a long day exploring to just sit in the hot tub, enjoy the quiet, and just take in the mountains. House was clean, well appointed and we had everything we needed for an extended stay. Will definitely be back!!!

College Open House Trip

My husband, son and I visited this area to attend Open House at Western Carolina University. The cabin is conveniently located near WCU, downtown Sylva, and Dillsboro. We enjoyed the privacy of the neighborhood, and the hot tub is very nice.

Beautiful Cabin with a view

As soon as we pulled up we knew with the view that this was a great cabin nestled in the woods. The hot tub had a great mountain view! Inside was warm and inviting. Very clean and everything you could need. We actually said we would live there if we could. Vacasa was great with sending emails and texts about our upcoming stay. We would highly recommend this beautiful cabin!

Great place and location!

We really loved the cabin. It was clean and cozy. Definitely recommend it. Only thing I would say, is it’s best to have either an SUV or a truck. Driveway is fairly steep. If you back up the drive way on the left side it makes things a lot easier!

Some things to improve

1.Filled trash bags from previous occupant were left on the porch the entire stay.2. Hot tub was dirty, half full, no chemicals available.3. WIFI password worked, but network is different than that described in check in material. Had to find the network that worked with the password.

WCU move in

The house is very nice and was very comfortable. The issues we had with this property were: - There was no welcome/ information folder found giving information about the house rules, guest expectations, explanation of devices or area recommendations. Also, the internet/wifi info given in texts and emails did not exist. Luckily we had good service thru our cell provider. - This house had a very minimal to non existent pantry. We travel planning on cooking and bring plenty of food. Many places we’ve stayed at have ample stock or left behind non perishable items. We were very disappointed that there were no seasonings, cooking oils, aluminum foil, etc…

Peaceful setting

“Serenity” is well-named as the setting was a great getaway from any hustle and bustle, yet close enough to all area activities. Fairly well appointed (though could use more knives in kitchen). Master bed (king) was very comfortable. WARNING: driveway is EXTREME for any “flat-lander”. Spinning tires uphill (in 1st gear) and rubbing front decorative deflector/undercarriage going downhill. This was in a full-size SUV. Access in/out of driveway is extremely tight and could certainly stand to be widened. Missed 5-stars due to some cleanliness and maintenance issues. Most of which were addressed by local team.

Great memories with the family

The property was nice, the cleanliness was ok. I got the impression the place has been vacant for a bit. Cobwebs on the ceiling fans, but overall it was nice. We had to contact the property manager for assistance with the hot tub, but she was quick to respond and fix our needs right away. The town is great! So many great memories were made! The area was beautiful!
