Quiet apartment close to shopping and dining. Safe and secure area.Could use more dishes. Hotpot was unusable due to being heavily calcified. Some dishes were dirty. The only place in Sicily where we had to pay a tourist tax.

The apartment was beautiful spacious and very airy. The art work was an added bonus. There was everything we needed to make it a home from home in beautiful Ortiga. Communications with Lia and Salvatore was prompt and helpful. The apartment book is full of helpful info and great ideas. Thank you.

The reception from Salvatore was super nice and helpful - we felt very much welcomed and supported throughout our stay.Also the appartment is a little jewelry with lots of space nice interior and artwork to appreciate. We were just right in the heart of Ortigia - it was lovely

From picking us up at the train station to answering questions, Salvatore was a great host. The place was roomy and bright. It suited us perfectly.

A great apartment in the center of town

The apartment is conveniently located in the center, but is also on a quiet street. The owner was incredibly nice and accommodating. He allowed us to check in early and even came to the bus stop to pick us up and bring us to the apartment. He definitely did not have to do this, and it was much appreciated. The apartment is clean and comfortable and steps away from all the main attraction and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.

Ortigia Apartment in a Perfect Location

The host reserved parking at a garage 2 minutes from the apartment. He met us there and walked us to the apartment which was located steps from everything, including get wine bars, markets, and local's restaurants. The apartment was exactly as described, with creative art decorating the walls. The bed was comfortable and the aparment overall was very spacious, unusually large for Italy. I would stay there again next time we visit Ortigia.

Excellent location in the heart of Ortigia

Super accommodation just a few minutes from the Duomo and the thriving heart of Ortigia. Our host could not have been more helpful, meeting us from the bus and taking us to the apartment. The only problem was leaving at the end of a wonderful four weeks!

Beautiful apartment!

The apartment looks just like the photos, beautiful! The location is perfect. The food everywhere was great, and I highly recommend Gusto if you want to relax at home with some great takeout.

The property was good overall but does have some some maintenance issues. For eg the aircon wasn’t the best - took a while to get going and didn’t coolthe rooms much, the electric kettle didn’t work and we had to request for it to be replaced. This should’ve been checked. The shower tray in the bathroom kept getting clogged. We were expecting a slightly more functional apartment even though the location was great and the hosts were very nice.

Our too brief visit to Ortigia

Lia's vacation rental was great. Lia was very accessable and was there to greet us. The apartment was very clean, spacious,and nicely appointed. It is situated in the heart of Ortigia in a very walkable neighborhood. A block from Archimedes Square with many restaurants and shops. A real slice of Sicily.

Short stay in siracusa

This was a wonderful place to stay for a couple of days in Ortygia. The location is fantastic -- right near the center / water -- and the hosts are wonderful. Highly recommend!

3 Days Un Ortigia

Had an awesome time at Salvatore's home. Everything was exactly as described and the location was perfect. Plenty of space to make you feel at home and enjoy everything Ortigia has to offer.

Lia's place Ortigia.

The apartment was well located, clean and very spacious and we really enjoyed the quirky artwork. The apartment was well supplied and Lia quickly responded to our requests. We would happily stay again.

Wonderful Place in Ortigia

We would recommend this place. It was very comfortable, full of light, lots of storage, quiet and convenient location and the owners were very kind and helpful. Once we figured out the small, cobbled back passageways, we were able to walk anywhere on the island within 8 minutes. We loved our time in Ortigia!

Comfortable and a great location

The apartment is in a fantastic position close to the main sights and shops. It was also off a courtyard and so was extremely quiet. The apartment is spacious with a comfortable lounge and dining area. We appreciated the kitchen with everything you needed to cook. Having a washing machine provided was great . Lastly the bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here.

Amazing central location

We had a great stay with our boys (3 & 5), the location is so central. We had to change our transport plans at the last minute and we quickly realised that there was so much to see in the immediate area that we didn't need a car. The apartment is a really good size, especially the living room which is very large. Communication was great and Salvatore was very patient despite our later than expected arrival. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful, spacious, quiet apartment centrally located in Ortigia. A few minutes walk from everything: restaurants, beach, outdoor market. Thirty minute walk to the Archeological Park. The apartment is well outfitted to allow your own cooking as well, so you can take advantage of the Ortigia Market. Multiple parking options, including an underground garage arranged by the host.

This felt like home - Italian style - in Sicily

We stayed at Lia and Salvatore's apartment for three nights in the middle of our 10 days in Sicily. It worked out very well as it is so comfortable and has a washing machine! The apartment is well equipped and is decorated with artistic flair. The location is excellent, the little grocery store (Gusto) a few steps away has everything you need and nearby Dada's Bistro is a super little spot. This is a great place to stay in a fascintating city.
