"We made a reservation and paid online in advance. We arrived at dawn, but we were informed that our reservation had been canceled due to the late arrival, which was a serious mistake.
We had booked the room for one night only so we could rest for a few hours before continuing our journey. After lengthy discussions, and despite how exhausted we were, they finally gave us the room."
"The front desk staff was not friendly, almost rude. They were annoyed by my question. The heat was out, and after a cold night I asked for a heater or a blanket. I had to ask twice. I also had to ask twice for my laundry to be picked up. The staff was unable to answer basic tourist questions; I felt they were unwilling, one on occasion cutting me off to attend to the Turkish couple next in line.
Good breakfast though.
The room was small but the bathroom large.
I liked the location - the old part of town."
"A very nice Doubletree by Hilton. It is really a high end Hilton, more than a regular Doubletree.
The rooms are large. Cleanliness rules. The bed is very comfortable. The staff is terrific. The buffet breakfast is excellent. Parking is available, but under the hotel- levels -3 and -4. It is a challenge to take the turns to go from one floor to another- so do it patiently and carefully. The only issue with the hotel is that the access cards get deactivated daily. This required activating them daily. A pain."
