Beautiful Home in the Woods

Don't pass up the opportunity to stay in this amazing home if you are visiting the area! The setting is gorgeous, (we visited in the summer), surrounded by wildflowers. The accommodations are lovely and comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped, and the art representing Alaska-beautiful. Our only regret is that we only had one night here!

Perfect, private house

This house was perfect for our weekend stay in Talkeetna. It’s located about 5-6 minutes from downtown, and 10 minutes to the Spur junction. Neighborhood is quiet, wooded and private. House is uniquely crafted and very cozy; the local art on the walls is a great addition. Kitchen is just as well appointed as noted; you’ll easily be able to stay in and cook if you want. The main living area is centered around the wood stove, and great very comfortable. As noted, stairs to upper loft are very steep, so be extra cautious when going up and down. The lofted area can be loud as it’s open to the downstairs. The two beds up there are separate twin beds built into the wall, and a little short for anyone over 6 foot. The upper bathroom is also short given the A-frame construction of the home. Great for little ones, but double couples should just be aware. The main bedroom and en suite on main floor is perfect. Check in and out was seamless. Overall, this is a perfect choice for couples and small groups. Highly recommend and would definitely book again!

Jonathan’s home was beautiful! Cozy and so unique! The artwork and wall murals were stunning! It was in a perfect quiet spot just outside of the adorable downtown of Talkeetna. My son and I really enjoyed our first time in Alaska. Thank you!
