It's a nice Soviet style hotel. It is located too far from downtown. The breakfast was great.

We would definitely come back here again and I would recommend this place to people who prefer not to hear noise 24 hours straight next to the window. ( in the old town hotels). The breakfast is great, location is great( we had one day pass). We loved it here.

Stayed second time, great as usual. Clean and quiet. Breakfast buffet spectacular and tasty. Only problem what we had was one of room cards wasn't working properly. If we will visit Tallinn again in future this is the hotel where we will stay.

This hotel has a lot of potential but please stay away in the summer - rooms have no air conditioning. My stay there wasn’t exactly great - lack of air conditioning made it a nightmare. Only wonderful highlights were the restaurant service with delicious food, good looking hotel surroundings as well as friendly staff. Dzingel, please fit air conditioners in your rooms and I’ll be happy to return.

Not bad. Could be better.
Just an over night stay, so fit for purpose but not the greatest of places. Easy to get to the ferry and airport but staff were ok and just seem not to care about none Estonian's customers.

We had stayed there a few years ago so we assumed that we knew what we were getting. Although there had been some updates to the building, sadly, the rooms were not what expected. Clean, but tired.

Life is a compromise
Stayed here three nights and used it as a base to explore Tallinn (had a hire car). Staff are excellent, all spoke good English. Restaurant was good, wide range of food for breakfast (bacon/egg/sausage/beans for English palate, many other items for other tastes). Ate dinner there twice, large portions, cooked to order and good value for money. Rooms are a little basic - spacious, but not overly comfortable. Main issue was the hotel was very busy and there are only two (small) lifts! So did walk up to my room on 9th floor a few times. Not a problem for me, but to be aware. Also at the time of our stay, there was a very large party of schollchildren, so a bit noisy with running around etc until c 10pm. Overall a good base and much cheaper than hotels closer to the city centre - so it's a compromise! I would stay again.

Great economic base to explore Tallin
At check in the reception were extremely accommodating to our needs and very helpful. first impressions are very important and ours was good. Overall the staff were polite and very friendly, the hotel met our needs and was a great base to explore the fantastic city of Tallinn. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Basic Amenities but Clean and Comfortable
I can't compare Apples with Oranges, so I won't try. This is a budget 2.5 star hotel, no more. To be fair, if I wanted more, I would pay more. That disclaimer out of the way, the hotel was very clean, rooms basic but comfortable, and great for families. The Number 5 bus takes you straight into town, the bus stop literally 50 metres from the front door. Recommend you have exact change and buy a day pass for families when you get into town. Staff very friendly and helpful a big plus, check-in/out a breeze. Soap and shampoo provided really bad - soap is that hard grainy stuff, shampoo I had to rip the packet open with my teeth. A kids soccer tournament was on so had kids running up and down the hallway for two nights, and despite reporting it to security, little was done. We still got to sleep by 11 PM so not a big issue. The breakfast is not awesome as reported, it is basic but expected given the price per night. It was sufficient. Coffee machines were good, but no egg variety - either a quiche or cold boiled eggs in the shell. Bacon was mostly fat, but baked beans etc good. Toast, jam, cereals available. One very bad comment - every second plate was dirty. No Quality Assurance. This was a little off-putting. However, I would stay there again. The cost is very low and for a large family (3 kids 2 adults) we rented two rooms. Very good value. Add on bus fare to town EUR 2 per adult and 1 EUR student each way. Free hotel Wifi not the greatest - drop outs/v slow.

Basic room, hotel long way out of town centre
My room was very basic. No pictures, no amenities apart from soap/shampoo in bathroom, Had to ask desk for a pen. Bed single and low. No bedside lamp and bed shoved in corner near window. Furniture randomly placed round room, with TV unwatchable from bed position. Wi-Fi excellent, restaurant excellent for breakfast and dinner (reasonable prices and good portions - try the garlic bread). Sauna segregated and needs some TLC, but free. No extra towels for sauna use, had to use room towel. Public transport excellent (bus 5 from town centre - towards Manikee, stop Kerese) but it is a 30 minute trip from the hotel. Supermarket ten minute walk down main road (away from Tallinn). More for conferences and group travel (especially children's sporting groups if last week was anything to go by). The brochure shows nicer rooms than mine, so maybe an upgrade to a larger would make it more tempting. Staff were excellent, friendly and spoike good English.

Fairly good hotel in Tallinn
The hotel is not centrally located; however, with the public transportation right in front of it, you can easily reach shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. The hotel room is fairly clean, breakfast buffet is very good and staff is helpful.

Great place to stay
I have now stayed at Hotel Dzingel twice and each time I found the staff there to be the most helpful and obliging of any hotel staff I have ever encountered. No request to borrow an item, and I made a great many of them, was ever refused and whenever I needed some milk or a few slices of bread they were always supplied without demur. The food on offer for breakfast is easily the best I've ever seen and even includes freshly roasted potatoes and a range of vegetables to go with them. What I had to eat each morning was more akin to a dinner than a breakfast and on the one morning that I had to leave early to catch a ferry, and thus miss breakfast, a goody bag was prepared to take with me. The location is fine and is served by the #5 bus which is a frequent service and it stops just 50m from the hotel entrance. I would never consider staying anywhere else should I get to visit Tallinn again.

Very convenient for my business
The hotel accommodations were quite adequate. The staff was very helpful and always willing to assist you whenever. The buffet breakfast was good each morning. I would recommend this hotel to those who would desire reasonable comfort without outlandish prices.

Cheap!!! No internet in the rooms,. The fire alarm started in the middel of the night, ok that can happen but what is scary is that i couldn't almoust hear it when i was awake. It sertanly did not wake up my husband !!! Safe? They allow smoking at the hotel....

the lobby of this hotel was ok the resturant i did not actualy use but it still looked great the outside of the hotel looked inviting but once i left the lift at my floor and walked along the corridoe to my room it looked cheap and very insecure the door to my room looked as if it could be broken in to with a low powered kick and when i entered my room it smelt damp the carpet showed signs of dampness i stayed here because it was the only hotel in the area which had rooms but if i come to tallinn again this hotel will not be at the top of my list

Easy Access to City with a car
The hotel was what you could expect for the money. It was not the most clean, but bareable. The breakfast was decent, which was included in the price of the room. Parking for your car was in a guarded lot around the block and behind the hotel.

OK alternative if you are on a tight BUDGET Rooms were clean,Staff were nice and helpfull Restaurant were little bit boring in terms of tabels etc but food was good and good value for money Nice garden outside. Have stayed in 2 different rooms.Premium rooms were fresh and clean. The cheapest 1 person rooms were quite saggy, so would recomend spending a little bit extra on a higher class room. Unfortunately the building it self is quite gloomy,hughe 60:s-style concrete. Quite a long way from the city, but buses are convenient and taxis are cheap in estonia (4-5 Eur from city centre.)
