The staff could not be friendlier and the restaurant is tasty and popular. If you want an authentic experience of Lamu the town, this is the place . It is not a luxury resort type establishment like the ones out of town. ”

“The hotel is beautiful, has a lovely pool but it is far away in farmer’s field and very difficult to find. Google maps sent me in the wrong direction. There should be signs and clear instructions on how to get here. It’s easy if you take the right road from the main highway. Staff is friendly and helpful. ”

“I stayed one week in the Marine Holiday House in March 2014. I had a very nice time in this hotel, the rooms are spacious and the furniture is great, of course in African style but with an extra touch! The big bed is very confortable and everything is extremely clean and tidy. This hotel offers very good meals for an affordable price. I booked half board and was very happy with the food, a mix of Kenyan specialties and Italian taste, the fish was great and fresh fruit was always available, both……
