Simply beautiful. The onsen was so wonderful and the community onsen was even better. The staff were absolute professionals and went above and beyond our expectations. The breakfast and dinner were as we expected. I really liked their tempura but i loved the sashimi. My partner loved the beer dispenser:)
We feel a got the best deal!
Onsen outside on the river was fantastic and perfect after a day walking. Breakfast was limited and dining options with walking distance very limited. Room was large and traditional Japanese style was extremely comfortable to sleep.

A lovely one night Onsen experience
The village is a bit dated and this hotel was the best option we felt on paper. While a bit old fashioned it was lovely, clean, provided wonderful service and the outdoor Onsen was mixed so my husband and I could experience it together. We sat in the hot spring at 10pm by the river. It was lovely. The staff helped us understand the etiquette and answered any question we had. They were so kind. We didn’t eat at the hotel but drove 5’minutes to a superb ramen restaurant. Breakfast though was really good and catered for European and Japanese with an extensive buffet. We. Hose a Japanese room for the experience which was comfier than I had imagined.
