Lovely location and easy to get to the Kasbah at the top or bottom of the Medina once you get your bearings. Staff were all super friendly and helpful with any questions and suggestions.

Fabulous home from home providing all your needs

This Riad truly enhances the stay in Tangier. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The room was bothering beautiful and comfortable with all you could want. Good shower and wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. The roof terrace has fabulous views of the city and the sea. Would love to stay here again

Lovely family run riad. Ishmal was exceptional with his service and care. Highly recommended a stay here. But come hungry as the breakfast is huge. Room was very comfortable and opened onto the stunning roof terrace.

The hosts were amazing, very helpful and friendly. Loved their hospitality. The breakfast was super. The only issue, we booked the standard room which had a very tiny bathroom. It was practically impossible to sit straight on the toilet because there is no space between the toilet and the sink cabinet. My advice, go for a bigger room. Rest all was great.

I had a fantastic stay at Zoco Riad. I stayed 5 nights as a solo female traveler and felt like home.It is small (7 rooms) and completely charming. There is a beautiful roof top terrace. It is a very safe place in the middle of the medina. All the shopping and restaurants are close by. The breakfast was amazing, all made fresh in front of us. I would return anytime! Thank you Zoco Riad.

Zoco Riad is a delightful family operated hotel in the heart of the medina. The staff is all very welcoming and truly make you feel like a valued guest in their home. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and served on the rooftop patio which was beautifully decorated with plants and tiles. Our stay coincided with the special holiday of Eid and the family invited us to join in their special holiday dinner on the rooftop patio which --which was delicious and festive! The hotel may be a little tricky to find but ask any local in the medina and they will be happy to help. Also, it was a hot day when we were there but the AC in the room worked beautifully!

The staff at Zoco were extremely friendly and professional. Extensive information and suggestions about the Medina were given, and the breakfast was simply fantastic - both in quantity and quality. The location is central to everything. The rooms aren’t the biggest but a good compromise for a Riad in the Medina, and the rooftop has a wonderful view onto the sea.

The very friendly staff welcomed us to this splendidly appointed riad with smiles, mint tea and traditional sweets. Conveniently located in the heart of the medina. Shopping, restaurants, attractions, train and ferry terminals were all within walking distance. Our room and amenities were excellent. We had an early morning departure that would have had us miss the included breakfast but arrangements were made to have food and drinks available for us at an earlier time.

The hotel has an excellent breakfast with a wide variety of fresh and tasty options. It was one of the highlights of my stay. The bathroom area in my room was very small, making it a bit inconvenient to move around. Additionally, I experienced some noise from the plumbing of the room above, which affected the overall comfort during the night. Overall, while the breakfast was outstanding, the small bathroom and noise issues could be improved for a more comfortable stay.

So wonderful I stayed longer than planned

From the time you arrive until you depart, the staff is the most welcoming and hospitable I've had in Morocco. Rachid and Ghislane were impeccable hosts. They gave excellent recommendations for food and sight seeing. They were incredibly helpful and accommodated people and languages from all over the world. The accommodations were perfect for my stay and I intended to stay only one night but extended to three. The medina is a prime location in Tangier and the Zoco Riad is super accessible to get in and out of the medina. I can't speak highly enough of the staff and my stay. The terrace has a fantastic view and is a great spot for a drink and evening hang. I highly recommend you book and stay a little longer than you plan. Tangier is gorgeous and near perfect weather, even in August. Thank you to the staff- Rachid, Ghislane, Bilal, and Myriam. It was a delightful welcome to Maghreb.

Zoco Riad is a vibrantly and freshly decorated riad located smack in the middle of the Medina of Tangier. The tile and plaster work inside (especially along the stairwell) are splendorous and make one feel as if they’re entering a paradisiacal refuge from the bustling alleyways of the Medina. In addition, the room I received was well decorated and suitable for up to 2 people. Bathroom is a bit small but certainly manageable! Loved the furnishings in the room as well (from the decorative headboard to the nightstand and side table). Thirdly, there’s a lovely terrace on the 4th floor. You can take tea there or see the city come alive at sunset from that vantage point. I also would be remiss if I didn’t praise one of the staff members who really made my stay special. Oussama warmly greeted me late Friday night once I navigated my way to the Riad. He shooed away the scammer harassing me and immediately offered 4 delicious deserts and some tea. I savored them, and an Excellent conversation followed. The next day, I woke up too late to take breakfast before catching a tour, but Oussama still ensured I had something to eat before going on my way (dates and orange juice). And when I came back that night, he made me an excellent cup of coffee & we chatted for a long while. Finally, on the last day, he prepareda hearty breakfast (best I had in Morocco) despite it being past noon. His unmatched hospitality combined with the amazing ambiance of the Riad made it a near-perfect stay!
