「We were living in the room close to the main road. It could be quite haunting during the night and I was almost sleepless during the first night. And I have to leave all the lights on to make it looks like people are awake. I tried to use the hot bath but the room is locked all the time. Hotels.com is definitely responsible to manifest a 10 out 10 rating in this hotel, it’s simply not that good! Strongly won’t suggest ladies and kids to stay alone. 」

「The man that ran the place was very kind and straight to the point heaps of utilities in the kitchen so you wouldn’t have to bring a whole pan or potato masher, the kitchen and toilet are shared but it was still great. The heater was warm and me and my friends had a great time 」

So much character, great open plan living area, plenty of sleeping space with comfy beds and a lovely setting. 「Nice place to stay. Pretty close to the town centre and all the amenities. Well maintained place with good facilities.Easy stay for a family of 4.Kitchen was decently stocked up with essentials and had all the right utensils for a short stay. Wifi and heatpump was missing which would be kind of good to have. Will chose this place any day we come to visit Ruapehu. Thanks Richard」

The kitchen is quite well appointed and has an excellent oven and stove. It's a little drive to anywhere but we had a rental car so that was no issue, only 15 mins to Tongariro visitors centre. 」
