“My wife, our adult son and I stayed in this hotel recently on our way from India (Sunauli border near Gorakhpur) to Pokhara. Tansen is situated nearly mid way between GKP and Pokhara (about 4.5 hours in each direction), and therefore, Tansen makes a convenient stop-over. “ The hotel was nice but in need of updating. We had a Japanese-styled room with rice paper doors with many damaged rice paper panels. There was no light next to the bed, only the overhead light. “Lets face it. Butwal is not a tourist destination or major foreign investment site. The hotel options are limited. At Darcy's you get a clean room, professional service, safe meals and privacy.
