This hotel isn't fancy but the rooms are comfortable and clean and it's well located. The staff is super nice and very helpful. The gentleman who runs the hotel is incredibly friendly and charismatic. We loved him. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel was basically of the quality of a youth hostel with private rooms but at three times the price. There was no air conditioning, beds were narrow, and the floor stained. Check in hours were restricted to before 10 pm and they said they would cancel the reservation if not arrived by then. The location was great.

Ontzettend leuk hotel, erg goede ligging tov het station en centrum. Kamers schoon, met ventilator, heel fijn. Ruime gemeenschappelijke ruimte met koelkast, koffie en thee, magnetron, prima! First, the amenities were great: clean guestrooms, two fans in each room, and for our use there was a dining room with tables and chairs, a microwave and a fridge, a kettle with free tea, and two vending machines. Also, the staff were welcoming, caring, and friendly, from the adorable cleaning ladies to Chavi the owner/manager, the host with the most! He was always willing to help with anything and answer any question. As a senior traveler, I felt very safe and comfortable with him and his team and was impressed that I wasn't the only older guest who felt the same. Finally, all I want to say is LLL (L=location). The Pigal is minutes away on foot to the train and bus stations, myriad restaurants and bars, the old quarter and cathedral, Tarragona's famous Roman ruins, and the Mercat Central which has an old-style market and a modern super market. If you're lucky, you'll be in town to catch the Castells, human towers and the Sardana, Catalunya's famous dance, both taking place near the hotel.

In a very good yet quiet location. Excellent staff. We were made to feel extremely welcome and the proprietor gave us a map of the city and explained where everything of Interest could be found. The rooms exceeded my expectations. The beds were comfortable with crisp linen and whilst it was quite basic accommodation, it had everything needed for a couple of nights. The bathroom was quite large and had a powerful shower. You may want to take your own toiletries though. Good WiFi. Downstairs is a kitchen/dining room for all guests to use. You can make yourself a drink or warm up food in the microwave oven or even make toast. There is a large fridge for everyone to use. Good vale, friendly and very clean accommodation. Highly recommend.

The staff were extremely kind and helpful with giving directions and interesting information about the area (thank you Hector!). The hotel is not fancy, but as it is an older building it has charming characteristics and it also felt safe. I greatly appreciated being able to use the common meal area for light meal prep and having somewhere to sit and eat breakfast in the morning. The hotel is an easy short walk from the inter-city bus station and is also a short walk to Playa de Miracle and the Rambla Nova/heart of the city.
