Anchorage Resort Taupo
We loved staying at the hotel, and had a memorable visit into Taupo. The inn keepers were very kind and friendy offering recommendation and went above and beyond for us; plus we loved meeting their two adorable cats.

Accent on Taupo
Reasonably priced, a little far from the town centre though and not much around it. Only met one staff member but he was helpful and pleasant. Generally happy with what we got for the price we paid. Taupo itself was great.
