"Hotel Eremo is a former monastery. You are greeted immediately by name by the friendly staff. The property is serene, dining is available outside in a courtyard, at the pool, in your room. There is an amazing breakfast buffet. There is a spa or cooking classes by the chef which need to be reserved in advance. It is necessary to have a car to visit the beach or surrounding towns. We also drove to the oldest winery in Sicily for a tour, tasting, and lunch."

"A rushed overnight stay for us on the way to Pozzallo ferry… convenient drive the next am to catch an early ferry. Chosen on the basis that we were arriving late and they had a manned late night reception. From our quick impression, gardens seemed charming and breakfast was nice. "Cute room, great comfy bed! AC worked great, as well as the shower. A big plus to have a fridhe in the room. I had some issues with the key but the host was always ready to help and quick to reply within a minute. The area is in the middle of beautiful Modica.
