"We loved this property but recognize the steep walk up and 55 steps down to our room might not be for everyone. It was just fine for us because the only noise was the sound of waves against the rocks below our room. Also, communication was excellent for us due to problems with Expedia but our hostess patient and helpful. The rooftop patio was lovely with great views of the harbour. The apartment was spacious with very comfortable furniture. "

"very clean comfortable house. Air conditioners worked perfectly. Bathrooms were clean and functional. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to cook. Just make sure you bring cash with you. We had a very nice stay ."

We loved every moment of our stay - identifying about 25 species of birds from the terrace, waking to the sound of birds, making trips down to the beach, a hike to the up-river waterfall, amazing dinners and breakfasts in town, shopping at the market and getting to use the kitchen to make some of our own meals."

"Casa Gratitud was everything we hoped it would be. We enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous home overlooking the bay. The home was clean and well appointed with most everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing weeklong stay. Do be warned that there are 200 stairs from the trail to the house. We enjoyed the daily workout and the view is worth it!Make sure that the water taxi drops you off at the correct pier when you arrive as there are two in the town. "We had an amazing time in Yelapa. The views of the bay from the bedrooms and communal kitchen and dining area were stunning. Everyone in the party loved the small infinity pool, especially during sunset. We highly recommend chartering the boat for snorkeling day trips up the coast. We had several outings to remote beaches and great snorkeling areas where were saw schools of tuna hunting sardines. We highly recommend hiring the family to cook meals for you. "We had a wonderful stay in Yelapa. It was our first time to Yelapa, and Jay helped us organize a private boat to town from a marina close to the airport. The house is also only a minute or so from the town pier.The view from the house was unbeatable, waking up every morning was a delight, and watching sunset in the evenings was amazing as well.
