Things to Know About Telluride
Air Conditioning: Like most mountain homes, this condo does not have air conditioning. Telluride’s cool, dry climate and crisp mountain evenings naturally keep the home comfortable throughout the summer. Fans are available for warmer afternoons.
Altitude: Telluride sits at 8,750 feet above sea level. Stay hydrated, avoid overexertion on your first day, and consider bringing electrolytes if you’re sensitive to altitude.
Parking: One vehicle may park in the Cimarron Lodge garage (height restrictions apply). Additional paid parking is available nearby.
4WD in Winter: Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is strongly recommended during the winter months for navigating local roads and mountain passes safely.
Quiet Hours & Community: Cimarron Lodge is a residential community. Please respect quiet hours and neighbors. No parties or events are permitted.
Off-Seasons: Telluride has “off-seasons” in spring (April–May) and fall (late October–early November) when some restaurants, lifts, and services may close temporarily.
Free Local Shuttle: The Galloping Goose stops right outside Cimarron Lodge and runs continuously through town. The Gondola to Mountain Village is within close walking distance—no car needed.
