Really first class. Wonderful and helpful staff with great facilities in a beautiful hotel. My only complaint is that I found it almost impossible to book the hotel restaurants. And some great local beaches nearby.

Another lovely stay in Gran Melia
Another lovely stay in Gran Melia. A welcome drink was offered on arrival which was greatly appreciated after a long day of travelling. We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast every morning in the beautiful plaza. We were made feel very welcome by all hotel staff. Every visit we enjoy the evening entertainment. Room has everthing you need and very comfortable bed. The only negative - please consider mattress toppers/pads for the sun loungers as they are not very comfortable!

The hotel and grounds are beautifully maintained, with lovely garden areas. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. The food in the restaurants, including the buffet style restaurant, is 5 star throughout. I think they have every cuisine you could possibly want and the quality is top notch. The only negative I can think of is that the evening bar service can be slow, but that’s not because of the staff. They are working hard to keep up, but the ratio of customers to bar staff wasn’t quite right, which often lead to lots of people waiting to be served. That said, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.

More like a 3 star all inclusive hotel where everything is so run down, service is rubbish, you have to queue up for an hour to either have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Room was missing furniture, no table Or chairs. Honestly the worst hotel I’ve stayed at, very low class.

A depressing experience
Rooms smell from mold. I asked to get a better room. The hotel charged me 30 euro per night for an upgrade and gave me a room close to room 510 which is being renovated with drilling terrible noise every day until 6pm. After I complained We were upgraded to a good room but I had to pack everything and move. Food is not tasty at all. You get one free bottle of water in your room at the first day. No place to fill up water. You have to buy water at the hotel and it’s expensive. Big conferences guests -get priority. Red level guests gets priority. You constantly feel like second best in every aspect-unless you belong to those groups. Main swimming pool is huge and with salty water but it didn’t look clean to me My daughter had to move 3 times to 3 different rooms and never got a smell free room. She also paid for an upgrade. When you move a room the front desk promise to make sure your suitcase will be moved to the new room. My daughter. waited about 2 hours in her room for her staff and only at 7:30 pm got them after many requests and arguments with front desk guy. I felt that nobody really cares about the well-being of the regular clients and the only aim of the staff is getting more money from the clients . The impressive high ceilings , plastic sofas, white suits of the staff could not make us feel better. We were waiting for the moment to get out from this hotel.

Please read before booking this hotel
Very Disappointing stay, some staff were very rude. Every single meal requires booking a reservation, which is frustrating to have to schedule your entire day around eating. Water leaked through our ceiling into our room. Mini bar re stocking staff would enter into the room without knocking! Our little girl had a glass water bottle dropped over her in the restaurant L’olio ( no one came over to assist or offer towels to dry our 5 year old girl, they simply cleaned the smashed glass on the floor & left) In the evening if you don’t get to the plaza early and get a table you will struggle to order a drink! (Table service only) With our all inclusive package we was lucky to get 2 drinks in the evening. For an all inclusive package there was a lot of supplemental charges ( very clever from the hotel business perspective & certainly not for the consumer!) The only positive, the food was great a credit to the chefs! However would not visit again in the future!

The facilities were very good and the food was also excellent. However, whilst some of the staff were friendly and helpful, a lot were not. We paid for all inclusive and it was anything but - meal times were awkward for children and you couldn’t get food unless you paid extra at different times. So many items of drinks and food were ‘pay extra’ that it was more like a full board offering than all inclusive.

Fantastic Resort Hotel
This was our second stay here and I am happy to report it is as good as the first time. Gran Melia is a large and very comfortable hotel. 4 excellent restuarants were available to us during our stay, and there are others during busier time. The food and service are superb. The room is big and comfortable with a terrace looking out at the sea-worth paying extra for, if you can. All staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would happily return here and strongly recommend this place.

Amazing hotel! Pro: Service, amenities, Italian and Japanese restaurants, and Pool. - great for kids! To improve: On the children activities there should be music for children, not rock or Spanish adult music as there was during my entire stay. Children Children Music = happy children. The Italian, Japanese, Sea Grill, Oasis, and Market Grill restaurant are a 10/10. - but the Buffet is a 6/10. - the hot main dishes need more elaboration and more variety. I would stay again at the hotel. Thank you!

This place is amazing, the whole resort is huge and has awesome access to the promenade with natural pools and a black sand beach. The infinity pool is great, it’s salt water. The resort is close to a town with restaurants and nice walkways on the water that we’re fun to explore.

Nice family friendly resort with good location. Lots to do in Tenerife so not walked around the area. A black beach with 5 minutes drive towards the north is very good.

Good quality overnight stay
Very much as expected. For us the general location was a little restrictive. The town/village did not offer too much in the way of amenities.

We spent a total of 3.5 hours over 3 days gathering and providing the hotel staff with payment details through Expedia. They consistently called our 3 booked rooms and asked us to bring printed details of our payment to their front desk which was about a 15 minute walk for older parents and one person with a walking disability. They lacked in customer service and refused to contact Expedia themselves. Our rooms were always facing the kiddie pool so super noisy (especially when we do not have kids); the windows had a air crack so you were never able to omit sound or ants and bugs. There was a problem with drainage in the room as well. Reservations for the restaurants were just as terrible as the food and service. I'd highly recommend booking elsewhere, and someplace closer to the downtown area. Car alerts, drunk people and the outdoor noise were constant.

Second visit and whilst food in main restaraunt wasn’t always hot I would still recommend that people go as everything else is spot on . I will certainly visit for the third time.

On entering the hotel it definitely has a wow the reception staff were quick and efficient and very friendly. Once we got into the room I was disappointed there was a musky smell but the room and bathroom are very big. The food within the hotel at all restaurants was disappointing not a 5 star from my experience, and the staff were not very helpful. We was only there for 3 days and found it very hard to get reservation for dinner in one of the restaurants, even the restaurants not included in the half board. Overall we had a relaxing few days but for the money we paid and was expecting a 5 star we were just disappointed.
