There was an incident during our stay involving a small glass panel to the front door, which we reported to the owner immediately. We accepted responsibility and offered to arrange and pay for the repair straight away. However, we were advised that we could only use the owner’s nominated tradesperson.To assist, I obtained and sent through two independent quotes for comparison, but received no response. Shortly after, I was charged through the Stayz app an amount that was approximately five times higher than the quotes I had obtained. Despite multiple requests, I was not provided with an invoice or any explanation for the significant price difference.The house itself was nice and the location was good, although guests should note the bedrooms and living areas are spread across multiple levels with quite a few hills when walking nearby.Accidents can happen, and I was more than willing to cover the cost of the damage fairly. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and transparency regarding the repair costs left a very disappointing impression. Based on this experience, I would not recommend staying here.
