「The room was great. There is a breakfast room downstairs which is open all of the time to get coffee and tea etc. We were leaving on a Sunday morning around 8am before breakfast started, but the staff were really helpful and put some food out ready for us (cereal and milk was already out anyway). The pub is lovely next door」

「Room was spotless and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is very central, though this makes parking and unloading luggage slightly difficult. The building is a listed building, so the historic windows had poor sound insulation. We were there on a Saturday night and the noises from the street can be heard very late into the evening.」

「Unfortunately, although we somewhat enjoyed the hotel and the spa was excellent, we will not return. The mattresses were so uncomfortable that we repeatedly struck the base beneath them; the surface was remarkably soft, and we felt every spring. After requesting a different room for better bedding, we were informed that all mattresses share this design. Additionally, the restaurant could improve significantly, and we did not consider the breakfast worth the price.」

「Great location for a getaway. Stockbridge was a hidden gem for us. Well kept pub type hotel with a large room and at a good price. Decent breakfast.」

「It was everything we expected and more. Wonderful time in Romsey.」

「Very welcoming with helpful and friendly staff. Good and varied dinner menu and a good choice selection of cooked or light breakfast. Location is out of the way down narrow lanes but the pretty village setting is both quiet and peaceful.」

「Good: The decoration of the room is cozy and in good classic style There is a bar on the ground floor which is good Staff are nice and friendly Bad: Strong smell in the bathroom which is disgusting, we think that comes from the eroding wood The water boiler is not clean and there is even water remain inside Being asked for the room key after check out but believe their staff mixed things up (Wrong number tag on the key)」

「Nice and comfortable excellent decor. However toiletries need improvement, body wash and shampoo combined and no body lotion」

「Loved the property, we stayed in the chalet. Facilities are excellent & the buffet breakfast provided was more than ample. Located in a quiet area but very convenient for town centre, a nice walk along the canal takes you into town. Had a very friendly welcome from James who explained how everything worked. Definitely stay again if we need accommodation in Romsey.」

「Quaint property with rooms in the main building and in an outer building across a patio with table seating where we had a quiet, well-equipped, modern room. The Inn is a short walk to a scenic marsh and pond with fish/eel traps and a bench for savoring the peaceful view. The town of Stockbridge, about a mile away, is wonderful for window shopping (and purchasing!) and is the start of a beautiful picturesque 'marsh walk' through grazing cows and lovely pastures. We found their restaurant had a...

「This is a great little place - central, spotlessly clean and so helpful/accommodating. Perfect for a pre-cruise stay in Southampton」
