"A beautiful, comfortable home for our two families and adult kids! Plenty of room! We appreciated the multiple decks on both sides of the house. One of us had to work remotely, so having enough space for quiet concentration was essential. We enjoyed the pool, and the beach and sound views were stunning, especially around sunset. We had no problems getting to the beach along the marked paths. We cooked many meals at the house; the kitchen was by far the most well-equipped of any vacation rental where we’ve ever stayed, and not just at OKI. Having the elevator was wonderful for luggage and groceries. The host was quick to respond to questions both before and during our stay. We would 100% rent again and hope to be back. We love this West End location and beautiful home!"

"This home is perfect. It is just as described. Recently renovated. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Water views with beach access across the street. Home had everything you need and more. Two porches, two wagons to take to the beach, extra beach chairs, well stocked kitchen. What I really liked was the clean bedding delivered and waiting for you to put on the beds. You know what you are sleeping on.The host was very easy to contact and responded immediately. I really hope to stay here again."

"The house was wonderful. My kids really enjoyed the pool. Everything was really nice. If there was one thing I would critique, it would be the toilet/toilet paper roll in the master bedroom. The toilet was very close to the wall and the roll was right between the toilet and wall at leg level so you had to turn sideways to be able to get to the toilet paper. I just took the roll off the holder though and it worked well. If we ever came back to NC to the area, we would definitely want to stay again. Great experience overall!"

"We had a great time at this home! Beds were comfy, everything was well stocked and super clean! The beach was literally 10 steps away! We have stayed at plenty of homes in Oak Island and this one was definitely one of the nicest!"

"We had an amazing stay at this beach house! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The location was perfect, only a few steps from the beach with incredible ocean views, especially at sunset. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful beach getaway."

"Overall I give this property 2 stars, mostly because of the corporation running it. The customer service and attention to detail were lacking. We arrived on Sat.Check-in was 4pm. We had to get to Oak Island before 2 to pick up a beach wheelchair from the parks dept. We got to the property around 2:30, so I called and asked if we could get in early, since we didn't see any cleaning vehicles there. They told us no, so at 4pm we tried the lock and it didn't work. So I called back and they had to send someone out to change the batteries. So we got in a little later than expected. The view was beautiful, the place was plenty spacious for our 20 people. I got up on Sunday, showered and the tub in our bathroom didn't drain. I played with the drain cap but couldn't get the water to drain. We had similar issues with a few of the sinks. The hot tub was only lukewarm. So I called the office to ask for some service, but the office is closed on Sundays. In the meantime my nephew, who does maintenance at a property, was able to get the drain cap out of our shower. The drain was completely clogged with hair. He cleaned that out. He was able to fiddle with the hot tub to get that working. I understand that properties might have some issues. What I think is unacceptable is that the only service available on Sundays is "emergency service", which in their outgoing message they define what an emergency is. I won't stay with this rental company again. "

"No ocean view. The house is cute from the front when you drive up. There are numerous issues with upkeep of the place. I wouldn’t even sit down for hours. Don’t think you’re gonna sit on a porch and see the ocean. The back yard is overgrown and the deck hasn’t been painted in years. The outside shower is dilapidated with a rotted shower curtain and an old water hose on the floor. The carpet inside the house is nasty. The throw rugs in the kitchen and bathroom need washing.I had to wash the cookware and the plates and silverware before I could cook. I was so disappointed that I wanted to just come home. After about 24 hours I accepted the fact that it was not as I had expected and was way overpriced. After that I made the best of it; ate out for meals and enjoyed myself.With a little money and a few days of work; this house could be very nice."
