The Rested Duck Mallard Room

Located on beautiful Horseshoe Lake, these rooms are the perfect getaway. Sit on the enclosed shared front porch and enjoy a cup of coffee as you watch the wildlife on the lake. Horseshoe Bar & Grill is located on the other side of the lake where you can grab some great food and drinks. Only a few miles away. This is ONE building, with TWO SEPARATE ROOMS/CABINS. The Labrador Room is a one queen bed cabin (sleeps 2), while the Mallard Room has two full beds (sleeps 4).

This place was wonderful! It was better than advertised. The room had everything you need for your stay, Sherry the host obviously put a lot of thought into it. Sherry was great to work with and the Horseshoe bar and grill had excellent pizza. The view of the lake is beautiful, especially when the sun comes up. We would definitely recommend this cottage and will hopefully stay there again.

Stay at The Rested Duck

The Rested Duck is absolutely one of my favorite getaways during hunting season! This was my second stay and can’t wait to get back next year. Perfect communication with the host, very clean room. Highly recommend!

The cabin or duplex is awesome. Very clean with awesome views out the front door of the lake. Boat ramp right down the ramp. We will back very soon. You want to book with this place.

Great place to stay at Horseshoe Lake

My friend and I stayed here for a weekend deer hunt at Horseshoe Lake. The Mallard Room was very clean and has modern upgrades. The porch and patio area were also great for hanging out each night and you can see the lake from the front door. I would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in the area. The check-in process was easy, too.

Cute and Comfy Cabin

Stayed at the Rested Duck while visiting family in the area. Getting in and out was easy, the host was easy to contact and helpful, and the cabin was cute and comfy, with heating or AC as needed, a small refrigerator and microwave, and a Keurig and k-cups for coffee in the morning. Sitting on the enclosed porch when it got cold outside was an ideal middle ground.
