"We booked to stay here during MIPIM, very affordable and was hoping for a nice experience, but nothing too great… we were proven wrong! The hotel is fantastic, the decor is great and aesthetically pleasing, staff are lovely and friendly, location is great for short walk to the beach / promenade and also to Nice Ville train station, also the trams too for airport travel. Honestly couldn’t have been a more perfect location, with a great hotel and room. I actually miss the bathroom already, the tiles are amazing, lighting is ideal and water pressure is perfect in the shower. We sadly didnt get chance to taste the breakfast but heard great things. If we return to Nice, I’ll sure be staying here and having the breakfast too. You also get access to Hotel Splendid next door, which doesn’t appear to be as nice of a hotel as Gonoud is, but it does have the rooftop pool, jacuzzi and a great terrace for working on, relaxing and eating some food in their bar area. All around honestly a 10/10 place with all things considered. We nipped to 5* hotels on the last day for their terrace areas to work from, although they are glorious, it didn’t feel as homely and relaxing as Gonoud does. So on a grander scale, i would say it’s a 4* hotel, 9.2/10 overall even in comparison to ‘the big glorious hotels’, but I’d stay in Gonoud any time as preference!"

"Great location, easy walk to train or beach, decent price. Reliable internet and hot water. Not sure if my room was an upgrade, but since it had a balcony and a bit more space, it may have been. It’s off season, after all. This was my third Ibis in a row, the first two being in Toulouse and Avignon, and I’ve liked them all. While some may find the pastels, neon lighting, pool tables, video machines, and popcorn machine off putting, it wasn’t an issue for me. The breakfast is fresh and consistent, plenty of variety, great coffee. And a fresh OJ squeezer! Ooh la la! Enjoyed my infrequent interactions with the staff, who all spoke better English than I speak French. Thanks for the ice!"

"Room was clean, Helpful staff, Most of the required shops were near by, Best part of this hotel is next to Nice Railway Station. Hot water kettle was not there in the room, no Coffee Or tea sachet in the room."
