Anniversary getaway

Like another reviewer mentioned, I didn't get an access code for the rental and wasn't able to get a hold of the owner through messages or by phone, so on the day of our rental, I had to call VRBO customer service. They were able to get her on the line and we cleared things up. Turns out she hasn't been reliably receiving messages through VRBO. She was very apologetic and things resolved well, but we were nervous about if we'd get in or not. The rental is as described. It's very clean and well taken care of. My kids enjoyed the video game machine and the backyard is absolutely beautiful. Keep in mind you are only allowed to explore the river directly behind the house, as there are neighbors to either side. The house is dated - there is carpet in 2 of the three bathrooms and some damage to the wall in the master that should be addressed. But the layout is great and the rooms are large and comfortable. It's about 20 minutes to the entrance of Sequoia National Park, which is what we were looking for.

The photos don’t do justice. This place was old but beautiful. It was bigger than expected and water was flowing peacefully. We took advantage of jumping in the water and using the DVD player. Old style cabin, old movies was amazing. The host was also kind and helpful. If you book through Verbo and Expedia the number they have is incorrect. Use the app to make the call because there is a glitch messaging the host through verbo. Would definitely book with them again. We actually had stayed at their other cabin on the right side in 2020 which the river was dry but the cabin was still amazing.

Relax and unwind.
Peaceful Riverfront #1 is a wonderful place, You immediately feel at home. Spacious, clean, comfortable and the back Yard with the river running along side of it is an experience of its own. You almost don't want to leave.

Horrible Communication
The house is comfortable, aged but we didn't have any issues with the home itself. It was perfect for my family which includes two kids and my elderly parents. My issues are with the owner. I was looking at two houses in Three Rivers and picked this house specifically due to the great interactions other renters have had with her based on their reviews. Unfortunately this review section only allows 1499 characters and my situation requires more than that (the treatment and communication were that poor) but long story short, we ended up leaving a day early because the interactions or lack thereof by the owner made me uncomfortable. I showed up to a house in the process of being cleaned. I was questioned - when did I rent it? Did I rent the one story or two story? Does it have a game room? What’s the address? “This house isn’t being rented until Tuesday”. These questions were being asked of me by the cleaning lady with the owner on the phone who didn’t answer my 3 previous calls. The owner mentioned that something was going on w/ Vrbo and she never got the notice that I rented the property. She was aware the Friday before (because I had to call for the entry code) we were to arrive (Sunday), however between Friday and Sunday she apparently did nothing to figure out the discrepancy. By Tuesday, I was so worried another family was going to show up, we decided to leave. I cherish the little time I get to spend with my parents and this trip left me regretful and disappointed.

Relaxing in Three Rivers
We enjoyed the house. We ate in and we ate out. The kitchen has everything you need and a good supply of seasonings. We did no do any grilling, so didn’t check that out. In town our two favorites were River View restaurant and Reiner’s candy and ice cream shop. Due to the unusual winter weather we weren’t able to play or fish in the river, too much rushing water. Sequoia National Park was only open a short way into the park. We went as far as we could and enjoyed some of the hikes.mostly we relaxed. After a stressful year the relaxation was what we really wanted. The back deck and backyard were great places to read books and take in the river. Inside was comfortable in the AC. It was very safe and enjoyable to walk through the neighborhood. There was no problem contacting the owner and the caretaker. They were both great.

Great for families
Lovely, spacious home with beautiful views. The riverbed was dry, but we enjoyed sitting under the trees and watching wild turkeys roam around the yard. About a fifteen minute drive to the entrance of Sequoia National Park.

Beautiful and Quiet Location
Overall the property was great! We mostly needed a place to sleep. We were there to visit and explore Sequoia National Park which is a short distance away. The river flowing outside was very peaceful. The kids room was exceptional. The kids loved all the toys! The only downside was the kitchen. It's outdated, pot and pans are old and just overall feel was dingy. Thankfully we did not do any cooking only minor warming up food and boiling water.

We were working the Tulare Ag Expo and wanted to stay away from the crowd. It was a short drive but well worth it. The house was peaceful, especially with morning coffee on the patio over looking the river. We all loved the fast hot water and water pressure after long days at the expo. I would stay here again and even bring family. House is well decorated and has nice aminities.

You will not be disappointed
Gorgeous home and a perfect location. First let me start by saying Cynthia, the owner, was helpful and super sweet. The home is equipped with everything for a weekend or weeks stay, just bring your clothes and choice of food. The open floor plan makes it easy for family time. Rooms are very spacious and with lots of comfort. The Backyard is breathtaking; the sound of water and birds chirping all day was the perfect setting for our family. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet. It is close to the Lake Kaweah. A must go to for fishing, hiking, a picnic, and scenic pictures. We will definitely be back soon!

This house was really nice and roomy. The bathtub was amazing. We were sad that the river was dry and it looks like it’s been that way for a long time. We saw a few wild turkeys and lots of pretty hummibirds and woodpeckers.

Perfect gateway house for Sequoia NP
We had a wonderful stay at the house. It has a fantastic location by the river (though it was dry due to the drought). Comfortable beds. Lots of amenities in the house. We are definitely coming back again.

Awesome place.
We loved it. Very comfortable, clean, convenient, and lovely. Family enjoyed gathering around couches indoors and around patio table on deck. Beds were comfortable. Master bath was beautiful with nice jacuzzi tub. Kids enjoyed toys and games. Washer / dryer worked great. Fridge was modern and convenient. Kitchen allowed me to cook for large family. I loved taking runs around the neighborhood. Was conveniently close to slick rock recreation. It was a long drove to main areas of sequoia national park from three rivers, an hour or so up a windy mountain road. We braved it twice. Rest of time we loved driving to foothills of sequoia where we played in different watering holes that had numerous water falls and natural water slides. Kids love bed the adventures and we felt like we were in Hawaii enjoying sitting under gorgeous water falls. Was a wonderful trip. Thanks to this beautiful vrbo home making it all possible for a great vacation and family reunion.

Communication was great. House was clean. Not much water in river since there's a drought which is expected. It was 111F, so we didn't want to hang out outside anyways. Very convenient to the National parks. Flies! Lots of flies in the house when we got there. Not sure if it's a seasonal thing, but they're all over the place in the house, local area & National parks. The fly swatter became our friend. Besides the fly issue, I would definitely stay again & highly recommend to friends & family.

This is our second time to stay at this property and we will be back again. The river was just beautiful and sitting outside listening to it in the evening was just so peaceful and relaxing. This house is wonderful! Everything was so clean and well stocked. There was plenty of room and everything we needed to cook each meal. The backyard is absolutely beautiful with a large deck, grass area and the beautiful river running through it. We made so many wonderful memories during our stay!

Beautiful home, well stocked & supplied by an experienced and super attentive host. Comfortable furnishings. There is a little seasonal stream/river in the backyard - not for fishing. It was wonderful to be able to walk around the backyard and sit on the deck. The environment is very serene. Would highly recommend this property.

Roomy Getaway in Three Rivers
There was a little communication issue with the owner that caused the property to be not 100% ready for us when we arrived. However, it was quickly resolved. Lori, who locally manages the property for the owner was responsive to all our messages and went out of her way for us. She even had someone come and drop off a new propane tank late in the evening for the grill when I thought the tank was low (my bad, the tank was fine). There was plenty of room for the four of us (two teenagers and two adults) and both the wood fireplace and central heat kept us nice and toasty throughout the week. The property is about ten minutes or less from the entrance to the Sequoia National Park, where we spent two days of our three night stay exploring. I even got some fishing done at the lake just down the road.

It was a great time! The property was cozy and so close to the national park, as well as three rivers brewing co. Having the sound of the river in the backyard was the best thing to listen to in the morning with a cup of coffee. We will definitely be back one day!

Awesome Stay!!
We hesitated about going due to the air quality, and we are glad we went. The air was good, not any smoke in the area. The house was great. We had visitors one morning a group of 4 deer and turkeys every day. We had 5 adults and the house was big enough. My parents enjoyed the house and the trip. We ate outside on the patio and it was wonderful! I would recomment this house and we will certainly be back in spring.

Beautiful home and a nice neighborhood.
Overall this is a very nice and comfortable home in a great and accessible neighborhood. . Our only concern was there was no water in the river behind the home. This clearly did not align with the listing description. . It’s important to understand that this is a seasonal river so there will be times during the year when there is no water which we feel should have been pointed out in the listing

I understand your disappointment in the condition of the river however IT IS stated in the listing that the river can be seasonal. when we spoke on the phone I told you it was dry prior to your arrival date. I try to let guest know so they’re not shocked. unfortunately I have no control, and it doesn’t happen every year. This is the second year it has happened. Great relaxing time
The house is big, calm environment, relaxing river, great for walks. Easy check in, great communication with owner. Love eating outside on the deck. Kids loved the games the owner provided. Oh and the bathtub looking outside to the mountains and lake, so relaxing. Kids loved that too. I recommend this house to get away from the city and go visit the Sequoia Park. I’d love to go back. ❤️

Great house!
We booked this property for our vacation as our original plans were cancelled due to COVID-19. And boy am I glad we did! This was an amazing getaway house. We had a great time at this property. The river in the back was great for the kids to play in and fish. Wonderful living room to hang out and watch movies. It was so relaxing and peaceful sitting down by the river. The house was stocked with everything we needed. We will definitely rent this property again when we are in the area.

A little slice of heaven
The location and house are absolute perfection! Cynthia is a fabulous, attentive host and her personal touch and attention to detail are so appreciated! The river running through the backyard is like something out of a movie; truly breathtaking. The house is outfitted with everything you need. Relaxing River View
Cindy and her husband were super nice and helpful. The property was very clean with large rooms and peaceful backyard with a stream right at your feet. We really enjoyed using the property as a center point for our day trips up into Sequoia National Park, and visits down to Visalia for my 40th high school reunion (Redwood Rangers Class of 79). It was great to sit out on the back porch and play cards while listening to the river rushing by. We did have a few small issues that arose, but Cindy and her husband responded quickly to resolve even though they were getting ready for a family wedding. All-in-all we really enjoyed our time in there.

Last Minutes Short Vacation
We are in last minutes to arrange a short vacation, the owner is very responsive. Once we made a reservation, the owner send us the entry code within an hour. The river is on the back yard and water level is shallow (6"~24") which is convenient and good for little kids to play around. Our experience of the stay is excellent and will consider revisit.

A piece of heaven
It was our joy to spend the weekend at Riverfront Paradise. The home was cozy, clean and spacious for our family of 9. We enjoyed our time both indoors and outdoors. Our pre-teens enjoyed their time in the river and learning about the habitat around the river. Our host was amazingly kind and prompt to our questions. We left welcomed as soon as we stepped into the home. Overall our stay was pleasant and we look forward to returning in the near future. Highly recommend Riverfront Paradise.
