Netarts Stay

Loved the unit. So cute and well equipped. The front deck was so nice for taking in the beautiful view. The fold out sofa was lumpy so I didn’t try to use it as a bed, (snoring). The bed was very comfortable. We had a great stay!

Great Spot

My wife and I went down for a couple of days crabbing, it was the perfect spot. Great view, clean, plenty of extra supplies, great bed. Even talking to Bill who was remodeling the house behind was fun. Will go again next year. Tim & Joyce, Deer Island, OR

Unexpected Adventures in Clamming

We had originally come to the coast for hiking and whale watching but due to the cloudiness, we had to get creative. My husband, our puppy, and myself instead opted for clamming, renting tools from the Netarts Garden RV Park. Though mucky and chilly (and our lack of proper attire) we met so many kind and helpful locals, and we were able to harvest a few clams, cockles, and gapers. Though cleaning them was a quite intricate process, they all went very well in a beurre blanc sauce. The accommodations were very cozy and the view from the deck was beautiful.

Cozy Little Nest

We had trouble with the lock on the door, but Sarah, on the phone, got us through in a timely and efficient manner. The house is well supplied, it has a smart TV. No matches for the candles, tho.

Cute and cozy

Great chill spot. Met the cool neighbor Bill working on his house out back. Good communication with host. Great view from windows. Pretty darn close to the beach over in happy camp. My one disclaimer would be if your a light sleeper or are annoyed with noise from upstairs tenants than make note that it’s pretty loud at times. Probably just due to the construction but it worked out fine. It’s just loud at times.

Therapy week

I stayed in the lower apt. with Boone, Ruby and Porter. Retro Retreat is very cozy and comfortable. The Kitchen is well stocked. The view is beautiful. The only negative is you can hear the people in the above unit moving around. This was not a big deal as they were pretty quiet. I was more concerned about my dogs disturbing them. I will definitely stay here again.

Nice cozy stay, no easy beach access

We had a nice time staying here- very cozy getaway for my husband and I. Tv was great and heaters worked well. VERY hot water! A couple things to be aware of that I didn’t realize from the listing- the close water access from the house is to a boat dock on the bay. Great if you want to go crabbing! But to get to the regular beach is a 10-15 minute walk, and you need to go back to the highway then turn down another road. We were also asked a sign a third party waiver which was fine, but I always prefer to know about that before booking a listing.

We had to use the pull-out couch for sleeping and it's outdated, uncomfortable, and very lumpy. The kitchen was great, had everything we needed, and the bathroom was sufficient. The shower stall was very small and located outside the bathroom in the laundry room. The location was nice, right along the water, quiet, and peaceful.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It really was a lovely spot and a cozy place with a great view. There was a great kitchen with lots of essential spices and such. The not smoking rule seemed fine, until we were there and didn't want to go out on the street to smoke pot- which is illegal and there really is plenty of property to smoke on the safety of the property and far away from the building. It felt unsafe and inappropriate to have to smoke on the street. The other bummer is the fire pit, which is awesome to have, but would have been so much more pleasant without a blinding spot light in the yard.
