This was one of the nicest places we have stayed. The house was very clean, appliances and furniture are newer and in great condition. The property is great and we loved the access to the river. The location is private and a short drive from Tillamook or trailheads for hiking.
Everyone’s favourite place to stay on the road trip
When we got to the property we were amazed, it is much nicer than we had pictured. Then we went inside, which was very impressive and clean. There was plenty of room and it dealt so cozy. We would definitely stay again. An added bonus was the close proximity to town and to the coast. So nice!
This is a most amazing place. Up in the Tillamook State Forest on the Wilson River. State of the art rental has everything you’ll need and more. Including remote control candles. We hope to go back next year.

Nice but not what I expected
While this house is cozy and warm we did run into a few issues. First, this house is directly off of Hwy 6 which is a major 2 lane highway. After a couple of days the sounds of semi's became white noise but I would have preferred peace and quiet. The view from the family room and kitchen of the river and hill side is beautiful and serene. The porches were incredibly slippery with ice and it was icy most of our trip. Overall we had a nice time and dealt with the few issues that the home presented. It was close to Tillamook and the Ocean while being far enough out of town.
We spent Thanksgiving week is this beautiful place. Great place, comfortable rooms and spacious. It rained every day we were there but the place was comfortable and Internet held up. Only issue was a smell, just enough to tell it wasn’t pets but a sewer out mildew or something similar. We bought some candles and that did the trick. The river, the trees, the rain made it magical. Great location on the river. It’s beautiful.
Location ia beautiful but traffic noise is heavy. Home is very clean. Heat is a problem—too hot and unable to adjust. Also master bathroom sink drain doesn’t work.
We had a very comfortable stay here. We did a lot around the area, but when we came back from all the running, we relaxed here and it was just perfect. One of the best days of the vacation was the day we did nothing but float at the river on the property!
Our stay was terrific- house excited our expectations!
Everything was perfect and exactly as describe.
We would definitely come stAy here again while visiting the Oregon coast. Thank you for a wonderful place to call home for 4 days!
Loved this property! It was so much better than described. The decorations were well thought out and the property obviously has love put into it. It was perfect being able to walk down the stairs and relax under the trees by a calm river. It is a perfect spot to swim in. The view from deck was beautiful as well. We spent time out on the deck enjoying ourselves and listening to the water.
The house is very comfortable and well-equipped. Beds are top notch. But the thing about this place is the private access to an amazingly beautiful, serene swimming hole in the Wilson River. I could not get over how lovely it was. I spent hours just watching (and yes, even went swimming in October - chilly, but sooooo nice.)
If I could live in this house, I would. The only drawback I can think of is the road noise, but it didn't bother us at bedtime at all. It was a very comfortable, well stocked house in an incredibly beautiful setting. Bonus, we had a fresh blackberry pie made with blackberries we foraged on the property. It was a perfect vacation! Thank you!
Plenty of space in this stylish house. we ate all our meals on the deck and spent our days either by the river or on the coast which is about 30 mins away. the master bedroom is vast and the kitchen is well equipped.
The booking process was a bit painful however as we paid for it and were then told it wasn't booked for us and we'd have to chose somewhere else. After a delay of several days we were told that it was booked for us after all
A DIY prefab home where some work was clearly not professional. Amenities were fantastic. Everything needed for our stay. Could use a fire pit. The highway noise can be annoying though that was to be expected. Around 10pm it tends to die down to take in the chorus of frogs.Close proximity to some of the most beautiful areas of the Oregon Coast was a huge upside. The Wilson River was the highlight here a brief jaunt down some sturdy stairs and about 50ish feet of trail. A great mix of sun and shade throughout the day and barely any current. That river area is bliss. I'd return just to hangout down there some more. One day down at the river a 40yo white male driving a white minivan, two small dogs in tow, came down the stairs which are only accessible via the property. He parked in our lot. He claimed he knew the owners, that they allowed him to use the river spot. Not knowing the owners' names myself, I couldn't question his claim, so we didn't turn him back. Access via the property would only be known if you'd visited before, so perhaps he was telling the truth? He didn't stay for long since his dogs were not interested in the water. It still irked us quite a bit and put us a little on edge during our final night.Overall this is a good place to stay for warm summer days with great amenities, fantastic semi-private river area, an excellent location to access hiking in the Coast Range, and take in the Oregon Coast. Despite some of its shortcomings, I'd gladly return.
