Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and atmosphere. We really enjoyed this place for it's access tp the beach and to attractions nearby. We have stayed here several times and will return again in the future. Very nice interior with the exception of the upstairs bath which needs a little TLC in regards to the paint and fixtures. Overall a great experience.

Budget friendly and very nice

I greatly enjoyed my stay. The property itself is very reasonably priced, surprisingly so given the views and how it’s beachfront with no houses between the property and the beach. The property itself is well maintained as well and the property manager is proactive in their communication and friendly.

Fantastic view

This is a condo with 4 units. Did not hear the neighbors, great view of ocean. Close to water. 5 minute drive for us older ones to get to beach. Would come back.

Fun to have 2 fireplaces and decent sized kitchen and downstairs livingroom/dinning area. Beach access on both sides with a few stairs to navigate. Would rent again.

The views are spectacular, really love hanging out on the deck and taking it all in. The kitchen is large and well stocked. Roomy downstairs, comfortable sofa and large dining table. We enjoyed a fire and playing games we found in the house. Upstairs master bedroom is big and comfortable, 2nd bedroom is a little cramped but good if you have a few kids. We all loved the soaking tub. The beach is only a few steps away and Cape Mears is just a short drive up the coast. The small market up the street had fresh crabs and oysters. The property host was quick to respond to any questions. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

And the jetting was divine. I needed to get away and reflect on a major crossroads in my life. With only the company of my dog, this was the perfect place to accomplish my goals. The kitchen was well stocked so I could eat there with my own groceries. The management team’s communication prior to arrival made getting there easy. Their contact information and welcome were easy to see. And the management team were extremely warm and available should I have needed to solve an issue. There were no issues.

Great Views on a Quiet Beach

The house was as advertised - Everything was comfortable and easy. The view is great and the sofa and bed are very comfortable. The balcony off the living room is wonderful for watching the waves and the activity below on the beach. Access to the beach is a bit steep, but only a short walk. It wouldn't be doable for some folks and wasn't doable for our older dog. But easy access to the beach is a very quick drive down the hill. The kitchen is well equipped but we were disappointed that the range exhaust fan didn't work and most of the pans were in poor shape, so we didn't end up cooking out of concern for odor and smoke. We had brought a bunch of groceries that we ended up just bringing home. Oh well - Schooners is a nice restaurant just up the road. Communication with the management was quick and easy and we certainly would recommend this place to others. We'd love to come back too! Cheers :-)

And a short jaunt down the street were delicious restaurants and the tide pools to view in the morning low tide! It was such a great time! Having Tillamook just a quick drive away was great we were over there every day! Only a little less than an hour from cannon beach and to the south was Depoe bay the whale watching capital!

We received a text that our unit was available early, and even though we couldn't take advantage of the perk, it was still very appreciated. The parking lot is a little on the small side, so be aware that a huge SUV rental will make the situation challenging. Although spaces are marked, it seems like no one really cares where cars are parked. There are a total of seven spots and no street parking. When you walk inside, you will immediately be amazed with the view. It's just like the photo but even better in person. WE spent many evenings sitting on the back porch watching the sunset. There are two trails down to the beach from here: one located at the end of the rod, and one right off the condo's porch near some stairs. Nearby, there's a cute coffee shop and a smaller grocery store that can supplement anything you've forgotten from the larger stores in Tillamook. You can also walk to The Schooner restaurant along the beach, or along the main road to The Upstairs restaurant. The property itself was very clean, but some updating would be a good idea for the owners. Beds were not as comfortable as others in this area, pillows need to be replaced. A lot of little things were showing signs of wear and tear: blinds, knobs, etc. Nothing earthshattering but a quick trip from a handyman would make this unit sparkle like new. We've stayed in this area for many years, but this was the first time we were up on the cliff. I think the price is right for this rental since it is a staircase away from the beach. The property management at Shore Thing is terrific and responsive. We look forward to renting again from Shore Thing!

Stunning View of the Coast

It was our first trip to the Pacific Northeast, and we could not have enjoyed ourselves more. The accommodations were comfy, and the view of the bay is outstanding. The beach access is steep, of course, but my 81 year old mother made it back up the steps after a couple of stops to rest. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing, quaint beachside rental. Tillamook is a short drive away, and you can enjoy shops and restaurants if you are looking to venture away from the beautiful coast. There are numerous places to hike nearby, and Oceanside is only a few miles up the coast if you want a different beach experience. I would not hesitate to rent this unit again.

There is not sufficient seating in the living room or balcony for adults. There is no television in the living room if you can believe that. The cookware is horrible. We have gone to this area for 20 years and this is the first time we were really unhappy with our stay.

Great little place

It was a nice place to stay. The kitchen was well stocked but it was lacking in storage for food and groceries. The 2 doors into the bathroom were a little concern but we solved the issue by locking the one in from the master bedroom and just using the door in the hall to avoid any mishaps. It was very clean and met our needs

Location, Location, Location

Right over the beach - enjoying the gorgeous views while staying warm inside with 2 great fireplaces. Not fancy, but well-appointed, clean, comfortable beds, and everything we needed to enjoy a couple of nights away. Even a jacuzzi tub in the upstairs bathroom that was relaxing and really hit the spot. We never heard our neighbors which was really nice and the balconies on both floors really let you be outside without having to bundle and brace for the wind and cold (we went while it was still off-season). We will definitely return for another great getaway soon.
