Basic room, had a fridge and private washroom. No TV or microwave in the room itself but the common area has a large tv and area to warm up a meal. Also has pool tables. If your looking for a reasonable price for a place to stay, I would highly recommend

Operating was clean. That was very small. There was no air-conditioning, which may sleeping difficult. It’s a very bare bone stay for the price. You really can’t beat it but if you’re looking for anything close to a typical hotel, you may want to take a second look I would classify this closer to a hospital than a hotel

This property is actual the residence building of the Northern College - Timmins campus. It is located in Porcupine, just east of Timmins. It is kinda hard to identify from the road and I had to call for directions. The room was a bare-bones private dorm room... no a/c, no elevator, no TV, no fridge, but good wifi and an OK bed. The common room does have a/c, a pool table, TV, lounge seating... pretty nice! There are kitchen facilities but I didn't use them. Anyway, it's not the Ritz, but the rate was fair for what it is and I found it fine for a 1-night stopover. I would stay there again.

It was good. Very basic, I don't think there was an A/C. But the room had a fridge, WIFI, a bed, a shower. Enough for the price I paid.

I understand that The Residence and Conference Centre in Timmins is student housing and that expectations should be reasonable given the nature of the accommodation and the price. However, what I experienced was far below what I consider an acceptable standard for a place offering overnight accommodation. The carpets and other surfaces were in disastrous condition and gave the entire environment a neglected and unclean appearance. There was also no air conditioning, and the room was uncomfortably hot enough that I had to go out and purchase a table fan just to make the stay bearable. I am not expecting luxury, but there is a basic level of cleanliness, maintenance, and comfort that any accommodation should provide. Unfortunately, this property did not meet that basic standard. In my opinion, this was less than hostel quality. I would not recommend The Residence and Conference Centre to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, or reasonably maintained place to stay.
