The room was clean, cozy, and had a good view. The staff was friendly enough. The restaurant had great food. We had the reindeer, turbot, and grouse. The turbot and reindeer should not be missed if you are staying here. The atmosphere was quiet, pleasant, and quaint.

Hotel With a View

We arrived here very late so only had a short experience but it was great. The room was very comfy and a decent size and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was the best we had on our Norway trip. Really varied and tasty with an amazing view of the mountains. We didn't get time to use the spa or other facilities but it was very convenient for heading up to Gaustatoppen.

Incredible location at 900 masl, little bit cooler than at sea level but the nature more than makes up for it, the only complaint I had was there was no tea making facilities in the room and no English brealfast tea availlable, just fruit teas!

Restaurant sold out several nights

All in all good stay but the restaurant was sold out several nights. They should keep some spaces for the people who are staying at the hotel or inform at check in that the restaurant is busy.

A fantastic place to stay! My only gripe was that I parked next to my room but there was no access to bring my bags to the room and it meant climbing back up the stairs, walking the length of the building to the exit, the length of the building again to my car, collect my bags and walk the length of the building to the entrance and then the length of the building to my room - other than that it was superb!!!

Ti år siden sist besøk på Gaustablikk, og her har ting forandret seg. Fra skog til asfalt og mengder av hytter, leiligheter og biler. Ingen hvilepulsmusikk i loungen, men aperolspitz og drum and base. Utrolig få barn.

Har blivit väldigt fint. Något lyhört ut mot korridoren och fläkten i rummet blåste rakt ner på sängen vilket störde. Maten är väldigt bra, men priserna något högre än i Sverige på hotell. Miljön är fin och avslappnande.
