To the northwest of Dorf Tirol, at an altitude of around 2,500 meters, lie the ten Spronser lakes, the largest high alpine lake district. These magical mountain lakes form one of the most beautiful and important lake groups in South Tyrol, which can be explored on a circular hike. A hiking trail is right outside the door: the Tirolersteig can be reached in just five minutes on foot. This leads directly through the forest to the Tappeinerweg. From here you can reach Merano city center in another 20 minutes. There is a public outdoor swimming pool just five minutes away. From May to September you get entry for free.
