Welcome to the Southern Black Forest Nature Park. The holiday home is located at 1000m in the climatic health resort of Todtmoos.
Here you can enjoy forest bathing, explore numerous exciting hiking trails, watch animals with family or friends or simply relax on the quiet terrace and enjoy the view. The forest is just a minute's walk away. There you cross the Beerenhaldebächle stream and a barbecue pavilion, a further 10 minutes away, invites you to linger. Winter lovers will also get their money's worth.
Todtmoos Prestenberg is a small, quiet district of Todtmoos nestling in the middle of the Black Forest.
From here you can reach the cities of Freiburg, Basel, Lörrach or Waldshut-Tiengen in about 45 minutes by car. The highest mountain in the Black Forest, the Feldberg, is 15 minutes away by car. The Belchen and the Herzogenhorn are also wonderful excursion destinations nearby. Hikes to the Hochkopf or the Lebküchlerweg can be started directly from the front door. The Schluchsee and Titisee lakes are only a few minutes away by car. The pilgrimage church in Todtmoos and the cathedral in St.Blasien are worth a detour and both towns invite you to take a stroll or visit a restaurant. Bad Säckingen (approx. 40 minutes by car) is home to Europe's longest covered wooden bridge and there are wonderful walks along the High Rhine. There are various gorges in the surrounding area, such as the Wehraschlucht, Hohwehraschlucht, Wutachschlucht and Gutachschlucht. A day trip to the Europapark in Rust is an experience for young and old. For winter lovers, the area offers cross-country skiing, downhill skiing and snowshoe hiking trails.
