Thank you for taking the time to review our cottage and we are very happy that you had a great time and that you chose us to stay with! We wanted to take a moment to clarify a few of the items in the review that you wrote about our property. Tofino is located in a gorgeous rainforest and the vegetation is extremely lush and fast growing. Most of the driveways in Tofino have very dense vegetation growing right up to the edge of the driveway, which is maintained by the Town of Tofino crews on a regular basis, as it is city property. We are so lucky to be located on the Multi-Use Pathway (the MUP) and there is signage to use caution when exiting the driveway, as the path is very well used by walkers and cyclists to get to the beaches, town and other neighbourhoods. We tend to give 2 friendly toots of the horn to notify that a vehicle is entering the pathway. The main shower does have a lower ceiling to accommodate the bathtub, which is often preferred by families who stay with children, as the bathroom is located under the loft. My husband who is 6'6", showers in there regularly, but it is also awesome to enjoy our private hot outdoor shower under the stars if you prefer. The loft access is a ships ladder which is shown in the photos of the house and a beautiful character feature in our main space. We have had hundreds of families with children stay with us, including our own children who have grown up in that house since they were babies, and have not had a problem with the loft access. There are plenty of comfortable options for children (or any guest) to sleep on the main floor of the house if it is felt that the access would present a challenge.
