“I was visiting a friend volunteering for the Peace Corps just down the road so my location was critical. Was pleasantly surprised upon arriving at the White Sands resort. My room was well apportioned and very clean. It looked out through palms to a beautiful white sand beach and ocean. They even strung a hammock just outside my door which made for excellent down time. “We went to the Royal Sunset with 6 of our Tongan young friends who help us at a humanitarian clinic we work in. We are leaving Tonga and wanted to thank them for all they do. We decided to spend the night at the Royal Sunset. The rooms were filthy. The linens were stained and the rooms were unbearably hot. The pool water was brown. Of the 3 kayaks that were available for use, 2 took on water as soon as you pulled them into the ocean. We waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for our lunch and we were……

“Nice resort, well run by the owners. It has comfortable rooms, private beach, a very useful pier for the trip boats and sea floor is rich of corals. Owners organised boat trips for us to visit nice places for snorkelling and diving. It was not the season for whales watching yet and there were not many tourists. We enjoyed kayaks made available by the resort together with fins and masks. Swimming pool and sunbeds were not available at the time.”
