"We went to the Royal Sunset with 6 of our Tongan young friends who help us at a humanitarian clinic we work in. We are leaving Tonga and wanted to thank them for all they do. We decided to spend the night at the Royal Sunset. The rooms were filthy. The linens were stained and the rooms were unbearably hot. The pool water was brown. "Fantastic stay. very nice beach.....swim, snorkel right from hotel. The good: Location - I would rather stay at Vakaloa (30+ minutes from Nuku'alofa than the other way around. Beachfront - Sloped beach.... and coral, but sandy (crushed coral).... can walk barefoot Kayak - They were free to borrow Snorkeling - Free snorkel gear.
