it was a fantastic holiday but the price is expensive as the facilities is limited, one tennis court only and the indoor swimming is not enjoyable as you have to keep silent for the spa guest need relaxation and you can't enjoy playing or swimming

Nice outdoor pool, indoor pool was unable to swim in the indoor pool due to it not been heated. Room was clean & tidy but due for some refurbishment along with the rest of the resort, overall pleasant stay but would not return unless the resort was refurbished

Amazing place-great location, amenities and apartment! The apartment had all the things needed, fantastic views, beds were comfortable. The kids definitely enjoyed the pools, especially the kiddies pool was heated! Would definitely stay here again!

Staff were friendly and accommodated any requests. Checkout was at 11am and we were able to continue to use all facilities as long as we liked! 3 bedroom apartments are very spacious with great views of resort and beach.

The room was not cleaned throughout our stay there. The beds were advertised as queen - I’m pretty sure they were double. No room service. Aircon was not working properly in the living. Second bedroom has no aircon.

The pool was excellent with plenty of seating. Our garden view room on the third floor had a partial ocean view which was a bonus. The 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious and had everything you could need. The bathrooms were modern, but the rest of the apartment needs renovation. The walls were dirty and the ceiling had holes and cracks in the kitchen and hallway.

The apartment was clean and comfortable for our family and after a day of outdoor activities it was great that the kids and parents was relax separately with each bedroom as well as the lounge having televisions. Having the use of laundry facilities in the apartment was great as well. The location was close enough to the restaurants for a lovely walk before and after meals.

Great family friendly accommodation

Great location across from the beach and a short walk to town. Clean spacious rooms. We particularly enjoyed the pool, bbq and kids play area. Only suggestion would be that we have our room cleaned during our four night stay.

Tired hotel in quiet location

Overall I was disappointed with our stay at the On Shore Torquay given the hotel rating and price of accommodation. 1. Maybe I didn’t read the fine print in the advertisements but I did not realise that On Shore was actually the 3rd level of the Wyndham Hotel, not a stand-alone resort. The implication of this was that instead of sharing the recreation facilities with 16 other apartments, the facilities needed to stretch to service the hotel clientele as well. 2. Cleanliness of the hotel in general (corridors/ lifts) and our apartment was not great. In our apartment the glass was dirty inside and out, some of the blinds were ripped, carpet was not thoroughly vacuumed - I needed to clean stains off the kitchen benches and vacuum the carpet before settling in. 3. WiFi?? The ads stated the hotel provided free WiFi but they didn’t add that it was only accessible in public areas around the resort - not in the rooms. Not really acceptable for 2018! 4. Verandah/patio Our apartment opened onto a long verandah but surprisingly the verandah was surfaced with loose fine gravel which was neither practical or comfortable to walk on and carried into the apartment every time someone ventured outside. 5. Disappointingly there was no coffee shop/ kiosk on site. Overall I think this resort has great potential but seems to have lost its way.

Great pool

Good apartment which was extremely spacious. Was unhappy however that blind in lounge was broken therefore other guests could see us on the couch day and night. Kitchen equipment was stained and dirty so was the couch pillows. Very disappointing that the cafe was closed during the busiest time of the year which makes no sense at all! Over all - good experience with great pool and underground parking.

Location isn’t the greatest

Quite a long walk to any eating establishment as the restaurant had closed down. Our aircon in the bedroom made quite a lot of noise and the bed was so low to the ground that you would bruise your shins trying to get into bed. The room was fine however smelled like it hadn’t been aired for weeks. The beach was across the road which made staying so far out of town easier to deal with.

Funny story!

Stayed at the hotel for 3 days... the staff were excellent & very accomodating. When we checked into our room as you do you lay on the bed & open the cupboards to see what’s been provided. Well... some poor girl must have left in a hurry as there was a bra in the bathroom cupboard which didn’t faze us as I’ve probably done the same thing... that’s night getting ready for bed (by the way most comfortable bed & pillows) there was a GIANT spider on the wall!! Luckily being female I had my trusty hairspray & as it fell on the floor well you know how the rest goes ;) Overall great facilities & beach across the road I will definetly be staying there again.
