The apartment is up a hill which is not made clear on the website. You definitely need a car to get

Pros: The apartment is up a hill which is not made clear on the website. You definitely need a car to get anywhere. You can walk to Lidl/Aldi but they are 2 miles away from the complex and no path to walk there unless you are prepared to walk on the beach or aside the main road. We couldn't walk on the beach for most of the week we spent here due to poor weather which basically ruined the beaches with high waves. This is not a complaint about the apartment just our experience. Personally we weren't fond of Torrox Costa. There is alot of graffiti on buildings and beggars around. Nerja is nice but we have been there before. The apartment is large with a fantastic kitchen. The balcony is superb with amazing view over the sea. We weren't very happy that we had pay a Euro for 2.5 hrs of either A/C or heating. We must have put 20e in to heat the place. I would imagine that in Summer the amount would soon add up for using the air con. It would have been nice to have been told about this prior to booking as it's extra money to consider. There were quite a few storms around and we had Sahara orange sand deposited all over everything. This stained everything outside. We couldn't hose the sand away due to grumpy neighbours in rental below as they were very unhappy that the drains emptied onto their balcony. Not very nice being shouted at whilst on holiday for trying to clean up after adverse weather!! The washing machine does not spin effectively so be warned that it will delay any drying. The apartment has a great TV with some UK channels. The WiFi is brilliant and was included in the price. There is comprehensive instructions for nearly everything in the apartment and also lots of information on the area. There were toiletries left for our arrival and some teabags eto but we didn't use any as we had bought our own. The complex is ideal for anyone wanting a base to travel to other places but not ideal if you want to go out on a night for meals and a drink as you have to drive to get anywhere.
