We stayed at Casa Siloam (10 nights September 2025).On arrival we found the property without difficulty but we were a bit disappointed with the property from the get go. There was a musty smell throughout which was improved by opening the doors to allow fresh air into the property and it wasn’t as clean as we would have expected (perhaps our standards are unreasonably high), and some cleaning of areas of the kitchen was necessary. The entire property is built onto the side of the hill so it is necessary to go down stairs to access the upper floor of the property and down again to access the bedrooms and shower room. There was a good shower in the property but when we used it the water flowed onto the shower room floor and out into the hallway. We had to use the towels to mop up the water and when we tried to contact the agent there were issues getting through to them. Eventually after emailing the agent we were contacted by the property owner, with whom we addressed our issues with the shower and that there was no change of bedding/ extra towels despite our stay being for 10 nights. Two days later the owner of the property attended, made a repair to the shower and provided additional linen and towels. Thereafter our stay went fairly smoothly.Yes, we had some issues but they were dealt with quickly by the owner, who was very attentive. In conclusion, the location was good as a base for our travels, the pool was lovely and the views from the terrace were spectacular.
