Toscolano Maderno lies on a large promontory enclosed between the romantic port of Toscolano and the picturesque Gulf of Maderno. The area enjoys a very special microclimate and comparable to the Mediterranean climate. The town of Toscolano-Maderno is located on the Brescia side of Lake Garda, 40 km from the provincial capital Brescia. Toscolano and Maderno are two distinct centers: Maderno tourist vocation. Toscolano of industrial origin: famous paper mills in which until 1948 was printed paper money. The paper museum, set up in recent years with a view to industrial archaeology, is much visited.
