two bedrooms (top of the line mattresses), two full baths (one bath you enter from outside)/great views will have you rested, relaxed and refreshed during your stay!
Cedar walls and old (new) tin ceiling and rustic floors helps give a warm, cozy feeling! Pets are also welcome!(upon approval w/pet fee).

This Lake home is private with a private gate and is also part of a campground community that has a seafood restaurant right down the road! (Lash's Seafood Restaurant) that has some of the best seafood around!

DO NOT STAY HERE! He emailed me the day I was suppose to arrive and informed me of busted pipes. He offered a full refund and has now quit responding! I reached out to VRBO and they can’t get in touch with him either. Still waiting on my refund!

Bugs, no power at dock, no phone call from owner

First of all the only reason why I booked this place is the owner said in email there was power 10 ft from the dock to charge my boat and there was not. When I called him about it he did not answer but responded to a text message. He denied telling me that in email and asked me to send proof so I screenshot the email sent by him and no there was no response from the owner after that. I had to buy a extra extension to connect 2 of them together to reach from the cabin to the dock to charge the boat. There are log jams in front of the dock and both sides coming and going was difficult and you had to be very careful trying to not to hit them with the boat. There were bugs which looked to be cockroaches in the kitchen and bathroom we have pictures of those along with pictures of the log jams around the dock. There was very little water pressure in the bathroom sinks made it hard to rinse your toothbrush. There were no outside lights except for a string of outdoor lights that made it hard to see anything. We ended up leaving a day early when we seen the bugs in the bathroom by our room and couldn't sleep another night in there. We came to fish did not expect a 5 star motel room but definitely not bug infested. The owner's poor communication was the start an miserable stay. We were lied to about the power will send that along if need. I feel VRBO needs to hold their members to a standard or I will use a different company next time.

Nice relaxing get a way

We came from Indiana to Alabama to visit with my brother. We stayed here cozy clean cabin. We caught lots of catfish really enjoyed our stay. The host is very informative and nice person. We really hated to leave, but we hope to be back.

Great stay again

We always love staying here. The view is the best. Love the yard and the boat ramp. So easy to get in the river and fish. Cabin is cute and stocked well. Charles is a great host he is always so helpful. Hope to return soon.

A charming little getaway

With boat and pup in tow we enjoyed our peaceful weekend! The house is a cute little rustic river house nestled on a peaceful creek just a bit from the lower side of the dam. Behind it is quite a few rvs and mobile homes but we never heard a peep from the neighbors. We were able to launch our pontoon boat and fish off the little dock and our pup swam and enjoyed exploring the fenced in property. House was clean and offered the proper basic kitchen necessities. We enjoyed our evenings sitting by the fire pit and listening to the frogs and I enjoyed my book swaying in the hammock alongside the bank. We needed a quiet weekend getaway close to home and this served the perfect spot! I had a few questions prior to our arrival and the property manager was very quick to respond and very kind. We would definitely consider this prop again should we come back out this way.

Perfect in all ways

If you’re looking for a great waterfront view and/or access to the water then this is the place. You can fish off the pier, launch your boat, or kayak with absolute ease. The land is flat from the house to the water which made things so much easier if you’re like me with back pain. Host was perfect and offers a boat rental nearby which is also perfect in terms of the boat, price and access.

Fishing trip

Great location, caught fish right off dock. Just a short boat ride and your at the tail race. Cabin is older and rustic as detailed in other reviews but was clean and all you need. Close to grocery store and restaurants. Was nice having boat launch at cabin.

Great location for families with Pets

Property was great - location on the water was beautiful and relaxing. There was a trailer park / campground directly behind the property, yet noise and crowding were nonexistent, The cabin was updated with a wonderful bathroom and adequate kitchen. The flooring was perfect for our dogs yet the foundation was a bit wavy especially in master bedroom which may concern older guest with dubious mobility. Being fenced in was great benefit, allowing our dogs to roam the property without being constantly leashed. We will consider this location for future getaways.

Very “Rustic” property

This rental is nicely located on the water with its own dock. Completely fenced in which is great if you are traveling with your dog. The house itself is “very Rustic”. The rooms are small and the floors are uneven. Persons with any type of balance issues probably should avoid this property. Unfortunately for our stay, there was no internet due to the “data limit” being reached prior to our arrival and it was not corrected during our stay. Also, we were unable to use the tv in the bedroom because there were no more clients available on the account. That said, the property owner offered compensation for our stay.

Quiet get-away

There were neighbors around but the property had enough trees and shrubs to still have privacy and quietness. Loved sitting on the front porch and watching the water. My husband didn't catch any fish but the turtles kept us entertained. lol

Great for our fishing trip

Ramp and dock in the back yard. Power from house to boat will need about 125 feet of cord (not bad, glad to have power) Convenient to the lake from boat. It is a small camp house. Shady yard. Everything worked.

Much needed getaway!

We had a wonderful week staying at this cozy little cabin right on the water! The pictures are true to the property. The check in process was effortless and the property manager was quick to get back with us to answer any questions we had. We took our little furbaby with us, he was able to roam freely because the property was completely fenced in. If you have a small pet, be cautious of the gate to the driveway - it has one spot where they could potentially get out. The area was well kept and the neighbors (Mr. Larry and his wife) are super friendly. Lash's Seafood that it located just over the bridge had some amazing food! Foodland grocery also over the bridge was perfect for all our grocery needs. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for everything Mr. Chuck!

Cozy Cabin Getaway

This was a much needed relaxation getaway spot for a weekend on the water! Enjoyed being able to walk to the near by Lash's seafood restaurant, which was amazing, enjoyed using the private boat ramp, and was thrilled to use the kayaks. Loved this place, would definitely rent again, and use the grill and more of the kitchen appliances next time, now knowing they were provided! Money well spent!!
