This place is a hidden gem. It is beautiful in every way. The staff is wonderful. The restaurant was incredible. Can’t wait to go back for a longer stay.
Beautiful hotel with a European feel and beautiful views. The hotel staff were great and really liked the communication before, during and after our visit! 10 out of 10!
Biking in Luxury. Exceeded all our expectations for road biking, dining and general ambience. A unique experience and setting that is far removed from the average vacation getaway. Beautiful setting in hilly countryside not far from Greenville, SC. Great dining and staff. Even planned our bike route and loaned us a GPS to use.
We loved the welcoming staff, the hotel and convenient attached restaurant architecture and European feel. The 2nd floor room had large view windows opening to the balcony that were wonderful. The fireplace in the room and bottle of wine was such a nice touch - as was the convenient coffee bar just down the hall in the morning. And the food was amazing! We will definitely be back to enjoy the cold plunge, infrared sauna, workout room, jacuzzi and pool when it warms up a bit.
Funny story...we took an Uber to Eagle Mountain Winery and got stranded because drivers are not that plentiful. No worries, Alex from the hotel came to the rescue and got us safely back.
Only tiny issues were a squeaky box spring in the bed and a toilet that ran.
Real European style experience. Feel like you are in the French Countryside. Great to just hang out and relax or explore small towns in the area. Dinner was great with outstanding food and service. If you are a cyclist look no further! Ride was downloaded for me on my Garmin! Plenty of great routes and many locals starting group rides from the hotel. Highly recommended.
Enjoyed the small size of the hotel. Very friendly staff. Easy parking, close to the building. Gorgeous view from room (stayed in room named Colombiere) - mountain view and the water feature in courtyard. Ate dinner, breakfast and brunch at the hotel restaurant - it was certainly acceptable, but not my favorite meals. The spa treatment room is located in the fitness room, the hallway outside the treatment room is the main accesss to the restaurant for hotel guests - not as tranquil as I would have expected. Very restful stay.
Quaint and beautiful surprise chateau and incredible restaurant just north of Greenville, SC. Read by the pool while looking at fall leaves on the mountain-side and at sundown enjoy a fire-pit and glass of wine. The Restaurant is a top-notch farm to table showcase and does not disappoint! Great find!
Feels like you are going to your home away from home. The front desk amazing, BMW vehicles to drive during your stay, amazing high end bikes equipped with map computers to take you on different routes. A cyclist dream place! Can’t wait to go back. Phenomenal breakfast each morning, comfy beds and amazing pool !! Helipad if that’s your jam as well.
This hotel is amazing!!! My husband and I decided to do an impromptu anniversary getaway and were so lucky to find this hotel. It reminded us of our honeymoon in Italy. The staff goes above and beyond with anything you might need. Dinner at the 17 restaurant on property was also unforgettable and so yummy.
The only negative I hope the hotel makes better before our next visit would be the pool. Yes this is a hotel with only 13 rooms, but the pool should have more than 7 lounge chairs (Some of the active chairs about the break) and 3 movable umbrellas. It seems as the pool was an complete afterthought. We are not bikers, the other activity promoted. I hope the hotel seriously considers investing in the pool area for more seating along with umbrellas that offer UV protection. My husband I were out there for a few hours under the umbrella and were burned (should have worn sunscreen but assumed they had a UV fabric umbrella). They are building a hot tub now so hopefully seating and sun coverage for more guests will be included in the addition.
Other than that it was the perfect getaway and we can’t wait to come back again.
Perfect hotel, perfect location, perfect experience!
The hotel design is gorgeous, however they were doing some work on the building and it was a little distracting to see plain clothed workers walking around at all hours. Overall it was incredible and we loved the European feel of this hotel! Also, for being the price it is and the designation of a luxury hotel, the staff might want training on service and communication.
We would usually stay in the usual hotel chain when travelling. However we were so happy that we found this Hotel. What a lovely place to stay. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere in the hotel very friendly. the hotel restaurant provided excellent food as well. A good find.

Two day getaway
First impression was good! Pool was excellent. Dinner the first night was average and it is pricey. Better the next night. Waiter was great. Would have liked better service in the bar. Outdoor construction repair left undone. Not enough areas to sit, if you’re not eating. Informed that it’s mostly a wedding etc destination. Pretty view. House keeping lacking. Cobwebs and dust. Didn’t expect that for the cost. Overall it worked for the two days.
Beautiful location and beautiful experience. Great restaurant!

I loved the style, intimacy, and setting of the hotel. However, the pool are was very much out of context. It resembled something you might find at a Holiday Inn Express, but with less lounge chairs and umbrellas. It could benefit from a complete refresh and the addition of large planters to integrate it into the lovely hotel. Due to the lack of umbrellas and the very hot sun, we were relegated to reading in our room. The restaurant was not open on the night we stayed there and we were sent to a local country club where we had a very disappointing meal. All in all, this was not the experience we were hoping for.
This small boutique hotel is beautiful. A very Italian villa feel. We stayed the week before Christmas and I think there were only 3 rooms booked the same night we stayed. It was very quiet in the dining room and on the property. The property restaurant was fair for dinner but the complementary breakfast was excellent! We also loved that we were welcomed with a glass of champagne and bottled water/coffee station outside our room. The hotel room is spectacular! Beautiful iron bed, a fireplace, incredible wood floors and hot large shower and nice tv.
Amazing. Exceptional service, very good food. Nice pool and beautiful rooms. There is even a pantry for guests with snacks and drinks. I had a wonderful overnight stay there. We went into town the next day which was a very charming little place with shops and cute little restaurants.
