they did the best they could with what they had?
The mounds of paperwork you require to rent this place is offputting. I seriously thought continuing my search. If you want to see how clean it is, sit on the toilet and close the bathroom door. Grimy. Rustic is a generous word. The house is obviously old but the furniture feels like something rescued from goodwill. The bugs are disgusting. Tell people to put all their food in the fridge. I loved the front deck and the towels are nice.

Perfect location
Great place to stay. All basic amenities present. Very clean. Be aware, parking requires good driving skills but that is just due to the nature and location of this property. Oh, if you bike it is right on the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail.

Close to everything!
We enjoyed our stay at Hill house. I would have liked to have been told the flooring is OSB throughout the house. While there were rugs, it was not great. Parking was a lot more difficult but we figured it out.

Hidden Gem
As long time renters in this area we came across this new listing and were we ever pleased. Excellent location in regard to hiking, biking( on the trail) and beaching. The house is fully stocked from soft bath towels and sheets to a kitchen that was easy to cook in. There’s a charcoal grill and lovely deck for outdoor dining as well. Another plus: pet friendly! We would definitely recommend this rental and would return as well.
