  • Young Red Colobus Monkey. Day trips to Jozani are very straight forward. In Stone Town, tours can be booked at the old fort. November is storm season, but it is also Spring here, so there are lots of young creatures around. You have to take a local guide from the Forest information centre and you get walked through the forest. This is not a bad thing, as there are a load of side paths and no signage, so I think getting lost would be pretty straight forward. The other good thing about a network of guides on the ground, is that they find the monkeys easily, meaning you get to spend more time with them, rather than looking for them.

Very welcoming and friendly staff; restaurant went out of their way to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The property is kept very clean and well staffed. If you want a break from the crowded touristy areas of Zanzibar; I highly recommend Treetop. Just be aware that off property it’s a distance to find restaurants or proper markets. But Treetop is so good for a quiet restful stay in Zanzibar. It’s also very close to Jozani Forest which is a major attraction for nature and wildlife

I’d rate my stay here a solid 10/10! Even though I travelled solo, it never once felt like it. The resort truly felt like a home away from home. The environment was stunning and peaceful, the staff were outstanding, and the service was top-notch with prompt assistance whenever needed. If I ever return to Zanzibar, this will definitely be my go-to place to stay.

This brand new hotel is a wonder...the facilities and staff are great...the restaurant options were fantastic. Super comfortable beds and the rooms are spacious. Can't wait to visit again.
