“As soon as I walk in, I realize I can eat off this floor right now. That's how clean this place is. And I was like, d*** this place. This place smells so good. Holy man, look how bougie this place is man. All the lights have dimmer switches. The view is amazing Love the hot tub, but the black flies were brutal. They'll get you.\n But had a wonderful stay and will be back. The black won't bother you after Like 9 or 10 o'clock. And iwas like damn look at the shower head that's crazy.”

“A very enjoyable stay at The Fourth Lock. It was a great location for exploring the area and has a really good restaurant on site. We were made very welcome and Jay could not have been more helpful. There are only 3 rooms, ours had access to a balcony with a view of the lake. Breakfast is provided as self-serve with a good selection of cereal bars, fruit, yoghurts, fruit juices and best of all, home made muffins :-) Coffee and tea making facilities are available in the shared cosy lounge, which……

“The restaurant serves food till midnight and the bar is open until 1am, the shuttle comes every quarter after and quarter to the hour which brings you to the airport, perfect place to stay if you have a flight from Halifax!”

“They were using grinders and jack hammers above my room that that started at 8am Friday morning.”

“Hotel is well situated at the harbour front, with numerous restaurants nearby. It’s within walking distance to downtown Halifax and the citadel. The staff members are courteous and helpful. The rooms are well appointed.”

“Parking easy and access good for us but not if you have mobility issues. We had 2 rooms in 2 different buildings. One was exactly the same and same standard as our last visit, very good. The other, larger suite was missing certain touches e.g. very small bathroom/ shower/ no bottled water or biscuits provided. Would be nice touch to have milk in fridge rather than powdered milk. Excellent location. ”

“Great location along Granville & Sackville Streets, just a few short blocks from the waterfront and terrific value for money. Room was clean and though a little small, had all the essentials including a desk with a phone charger and wifi, lots of hooks on the door, as well a cabinet to put away and hang up personal items like clothing. There were several individual bathrooms on each floor and all came with a shower. Each floor has a shared common area with a kitchen and fridge, microwave, etc.……
