The view was nice. The room had a modern design. The kitchenette had everything we needed to make our dinner and the grocery store was only a few minutes away (driving). It's a perfect place to stay away from the crowd.

On the waterfront! Sauna is fantastic, clean runs late and you can jump into the water. Hot tubs afterwards as well. Highly recommend Steam Pier. I’m in the Wolf room which has wonderful views of Tromso and the bay. Clean modern with kitchen as well.

Die Unterkunft haben wir sehr sauber vorgefunden und wir wurden vom Personal sehr freundlich empfangen...sie waren auch sehr hilfsbereit! Die Unterkunft ist nur 10min vom Flughafen Tromsø entfernt und eignet sich hervorragend für Ausflüge in die Stadt Tromsø und auch in die Umgebung zur Beobachtung der Nordlichter! Man ist mit dem Auto in 15Minuten in der Dunkelheit! Auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in unmittelbarer Nähe und mit dem Bus oder Auto gut erreichbar! Von der Unterkunft hat man einen wunderschönen Ausblick aufs Meer...wir konnten sogar von unserer Terrasse aus Nordlichter sehen!

The accommodation was fantastic, the location has amazing scenery on the waters edge and great views of Tromso. It is about a 20 minute bus ride from the airport, so ideal.

My stay at Steam Pier Adventure was excellent. I was traveling solo for work in Tromsø, but it would also be a fantastic place to bring my family. While it is not overly fancy, it is very well appointed, clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. It had everything I needed and made for a really enjoyable stay.

Our three‑night stay in the Whale Apartment at Steam pier near Tromsø was genuinely wonderful. The space itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and offered fantastic panoramic views that made every morning feel special. The bed was super comfortable, the apartment was quiet, and the location struck the perfect balance — peaceful, yet still close enough to Tromsø to explore easily. What truly elevated our stay, though, was the exceptional staff. As we checked in, the two young people who welcomed us were an absolute delight. Both the young lady and the young man were wonderfully kind, genuinely helpful, and greeted us with bright, happy smiles that instantly made us feel welcome. Their friendliness and positive energy set the perfect tone for our stay and left a lasting impression. Parking: Parking is straightforward, but you do have to pay, and this is clearly stated in advance. Please don’t take it out on the staff when you arrive — they’re not responsible for the parking fees. Just factor the cost into your budget or choose accommodation with free parking if that suits you better.

Seafront ist ein kleines, nicht ungemütliches Nest mit sehr wenig Platz. Das Bad schön, an manchen Stellen fehlen Fliesen, als wäre es noch nicht ganz fertig. Haben auf das Puffin im Haupthaus gewechselt- gegen Aufpreis. Wunderschön! Toller Ausblick! Etwas kalt, aber nach einem Anruf hat der Vermieter die Heizung hinaufgedreht. Haben es sehr genossen!

We stayed in the Aurora hut #1. We knew it would be small, but we were surprised to find that there was no shower and only a camping style toilet. Otherwise, the hut itself is very modern, the bed was very comfortable and the heat worked great.

Stayed in Wolf which is a perfect room if you want to be disturbed through the night by the loud banging of doors associated with your local travel Lodge. Poorly lit rooms and luke warm water are also a feature, with no milk for coffee nor access to a restaurant for breakfast or dinner. That being said, views of the natural and surrounding landscape were phenomenal, and one of the comfiest beds I’ve had the pleasure to sleep in. An amazing wood fire sauna to warm up in on the morning of departure, however it defiantly wasn’t worth the extortionate price per night to stay.
