Perfect location
The house is centrally located between a lot of waterfalls and fishing opportunities. The accommodations in the house were perfect. Tons of room for everyone. Nice and quiet setting. We met one of the owner and he was cool and down to earth. I highly recommend staying here.

Great location to trails!
Ashley's place was great for us. There were only 2 of us but there is plenty of room/sleeping/seating for a large group. A perfect spot for jumping right on the trails. So quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay again.

Nice property, could use some attention
The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. However, we specifically chose this property for the trampoline outside to give our kids something to do in the evenings - this is no longer there. Make sure to bring your own towels as none are provided. And there is no trash service provided - you have to take it all with you. The door to the upstairs large bedroom wouldn't close and made it hard for the kids to fall asleep. The grill needs at least major work or replaced - the burners were rusted out and slanted making it hard to cook things at the same time. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, but the house could use some major attention.

Great location for snowmobiling/ orv
The place was very clean and everything was as described in the listing. There were 7 guys on our annual week long snowmobile trip and had plenty of room. Cabin sits 2 miles west of Kenton on trail8. 12 miles to Sidnaw and 15 miles to Bruce Crossing for fuel. Highly recommend this listing and the hosts were great to work with. Thanks Ashley and Jason!

Almost Perfect
The property was a perfect fit for our family trip. Beautiful area and close to what we wanted to be close to. For the area to have phone service and wifi was a huge bonus! Only real downsides were the check out time was different in the listing than the host’s manual that was provided. That hour makes a huge difference when packing up to head back home cross country. Other downside was that the host’s don’t provide any trash service - we were lucky and had family that live in the area who helped us out. But that information would have been helpful to know at the time of booking so travel arrangements could be made accordingly. All in all we really enjoyed our trip and would stay again! Thanks for letting us enjoy your space!

My worst VRBO experience and likely my last (along with the other members of my group)!
We arrived almost 2 hours before the stated 4:00 PM check in time and waited on the road until 4:00 as the listing cautioned no early check in's. This should have been my first clue but I was excited about the trip and complied even thought other places I've stayed have allowed early check in if the cleaners had completed their task. The property was clean and as advertised. The "no towel" policy was not clearly stated causing us to have to purchase them for our stay. All was good until night 3 when the sewer line backed up into the 1st floor tub and filled the washing machine since if was after 11:00 PM we waited until the morning to make contact with the owners. We called the first contact number and the voice mail was full, contacted the seconded number and it went to voice mail we left a message and went to a local park to use the rest room after which we went hunting for the day as we planned. At some point in the afternoon I received a voice mail telling me the owner was having trouble finding some one to fix the issue and worst case scenario he would come in the morning to fix it. There was a pause in the voice mail or cell service wasn't good either way I didn't get the second part of his message indicating we may use another local site a mile down the road. And that I could call him about it (he made not effort to check back with me). We hunted until after dark and returned to find the system had not been repaired. We took matters into our own hands and cleaned out the waste line which had been misaligned by tree roots. We got the system functioning and left voice mails on both the numbers indicating the system status. We got up and hunted the next day and upon our return we could see were a small section of the pipe had been dug up and most likely a flex sleeve had been applied (a temporary fix). We noticed the plumbing system was not vented nor was there a backflow preventer on the washer which was the cause of it being filled with sewage. We completed our stay and on the morning of our departure we received not 1, not 2, but 3 communications telling us that check out time was 9:00 AM and the cleaning crew was waiting on us to get out. My screen capture showed a 10:00 check out and we did get out 20 minutes late, but it was odd how easily we got contacted when they needed something from us. I will never darken the door of this rental again. My request for a 3 day refund was never answered.

Beautiful property with lots of space
The host was very accommodating to our special need. Very good communication and instruction for check in and out. Very clean and equipped kitchen. Hosts were knowledgeable about the surrounding area and provide guides for local waterfalls.

Beautiful Cabin and Wonderful Hosts
We had a wonderful week in trout creek at this cabin! The cabin was beautiful & has such a peaceful setting. It was definitely a plus that they are dog friendly. It was just what we were looking for. It was great place to get out and enjoy nature. Ashley and Jason were more than helpful and with any questions we had and were very quick to respond. We would highly recommend staying here to anyone.

Perfect for our adventures!
This house has lots of room. Very clean and equipped with everything you might need. Perfect location for us to ride our SxS. We ride hundreds of miles and saw beautiful waterfalls. One hour from the Porcupine Mountains! Must see waterfalls there and the Lake of the clouds.!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ottawa Lodge. The location was perfect for us to explore nearby lakes, streams, waterfalls and even a tour at the adventure mine. The Ottawa lodge provided all the accommodations we needed during our stay. Planning to book another trip in the coming year.

Overall stay was enjoyable with trail access right acrossed the road for snowmobiling. It is a little ways from gas but don't have to ride to far. I loved that it was out in the middle of nowhere and the road was a dead end so not to much traffic driving thru.

Excellent property. Enjoyed our stay. Everything great, except for some minor annoyances: traffic noise outside (can’t hear it indoors,) need to bring our own towels for bath and kitchen, and taking our garbage with us when we leave.

Home away from home
Our family of six stayed here for a week and had a very pleasant stay. There was plenty of room, comfortable beds, and two full bathrooms. Ashley, our hostess / homeowner, was helpful and accommodating. She has a great sense of humor as well. We won't forget our stay here. There are plenty things to do, see, and explore within a 1-2 hour drive from this property. Highly recommended! We had an excellent vacation!

Secluded house
This house was perfect!! Had an issue that was totally unexpected, called Ashley and within minutes had everything handled. Great with communication. The house was super clean and fully stocked with everything you will need. The beds were all extremely comfortable, as well as the couches. The price was very reasonable and can’t wait to come back again. Very happy family

Awesome time over UP at the Ottawa Lodge Rental
This is a very cozy place to stay and relax. Great for a big family or like in my trip, we where two families one living upstairs and the other downstairs. The host is very nice. She provided us with tourist information. I would love to be back one day! A little advice bring your towels.

Located directly on trail 8 makes this cabin a snowmobiler dream. Notice I said cabin, do not confuse it as a 4 start resort that it is not, however, it is clean and warm!

House was perfect for the family to have plenty of room. We loved how secluded the house was and yet we were close enough to the grocery store when we needed something. We visited many of the nearby waterfalls which was great with little kids. It was our first time to the area and we can't wait to go back.

Great Place to stay
We loved our stay here, the cabin and property were exactly as described in the listing, owners are friendly and easy to work with. This has ATV trail out front of the property which links to a lot of the attractions and to the nearest town. This is close to a lot of the falls along the rivers. I have seen on a review that they would not come back because of the mice. I will say after our stay we got one mouse in a trap and that it should be expected that when you are staying in an area that is in the woods you will have mice around especially when it's starting to get colder outside. Everything here was clean and taken care of, you have everything you need to bake or cook with. You just need to have your ingredients and your all set. Overall I highly recommend this cabin.

They have security cameras all around the house! Very uncomfortable! very rude and condescending! would never want to experience anything like that again! I have pictures and videos of their cameras around the house! Renter beware!

You lied about your number of guests, you destroyed our property, you didn’t clean up after yourselves - let alone clean up after the pet that you didn’t disclose prior to check in. Perfect home base
Home was very nice and perfect home base for visiting all the Western UP tourist spots. Bond Falls were our favorite falls and very close. Kids were glad the internet worked great and full bars cell service (Verizon). Spent our days exploring than came back to enjoy dinner together and even used the Netflix. The only inconvenience was trying to figure out what to do with our trash but we figured it out. Thanks again for the great week! Joe Karnes and family July 2019
