We stayed here during a race weekend at Northstar and the property met all our needs. Close driving distance to Truckee for the downtown, restaurant scene plus easy access to local trails for biking, hiking and running.

Good Property - little additions/updates needed

The remodel done on this property is nice! The rental management company provided timely info before arrival and responded quickly when the CO2 alarm went off, however did not respond upon our departure. I wanted to give them a heads' up about a few things that need attention. To make this property a 5 star:1) Invest in a full set of silverware and dishes.2) Inventory the cabinets and add kitchen items to make it fully functional (cheese grater, sheet pan, etc)3) Replace the carpet - especially on the stairs from the upper bathroom to the primary bedroom. The carpet has pulled away from the stairs and is a major trip/fall hazard.4) Figure out the downstair bathroom shower steam that trips the VERY LOUD and scary CO2 alarm.5) The "bunk room" sleeps many (which is great!), but is situated so that the closet is not accessible. 6) The toilet seat cracked - likely due to age. Not a huge deal, but probably original like the carpet. Change these things!This property is comfortable for a bigger group, but doesn't have ALL the pieces quite yet to really accomodate a big group (kitchen items, accessible closet, etc). A few small fixes and it will be great!
