Great spot for large parties for an affordable price!

My friends and I stayed here while visiting for a wedding. The community was great with lots of trails, shops, restaurants and activities within walking distance. The house is close to downtown Truckee and Lake Tahoe. Only downside is the lack of AC in the summer, making for a hot stay when the temperatures are high.

Northstar Condo- Cheery Goldbend

Overall a nice place to stay in Tahoe. Lots of stair climbing to get up to the second floor kitchen. But a good little workout. The kitchen is small but worked out fine. A couple of burners on the stove didn’t work and had to be lit with a lighter. They advertise a hot tub but it’s at the very nice recreation center that you have to drive to and pay 10 per person daily to use. Guests are not allowed to bbq on premises ( only at rec center). We had a great time !

Management could be improved

The house and location were great. However, after being told we couldn’t check in until 4pm due to cleaning we were disappointed to then be interrupted by someone (unmasked) asking to check the property. After she checked around the house, we found trash (food, beer bottles etc.) in the kitchen - so not removed by her or the earlier cleaning staff. Maybe not surprising that there were ants in the living room!

Best of truckee

The cabin was excellent, simple rustic and clean. The rooms are well lit and the location is perfect, middle, between the Lake Tahoe and downtown truckee. I will be coming back for the comfy atmosphere. Exceeded my expectations with the clean new appliances, laundry and kitchen. Very clean and new.

Inaccurate online pictures

Management company great at answering phone, pictures online didn’t accurately represent the condition of the property. Really dirty old carpet, rugs, old dirty chairs in living room, lamps with water stained shades. Just more of a crash pad for a college group, best description I can give…

Lake Tahoe Getaway

My family and I had a wonderful time at Lake Tahoe. The cabin was clean, spacious, and comfortable but a bit far from the lake. Also, we knew it did not have an AC unit, but we were surprised at how warm it gets at night. I woke up several times because it was warm inside. The fans helped, though. Overall, we had a great time and can’t wait to do it again!!

Great property, difficult parking

Everything was amazing about this property except for the parking. Clean, spacious, looked just like the photos, and well-located. Kitchen was well-equipped for cooking for a large group, didn't get too hot - overall an excellent stay. The parking was definitely an issue though. The listing made note of two permitted spots available but failed to clarify that practically no extra parking exists within 10-15 minutes (by car) of the rental. So, in a situation like my group's in which you have three or four vehicles, parking becomes dicey and you risk being towed if you park onsite. Again, this is only one part of the experience (the rest wonderful, I must reiterate). But the listing needs to be updated to make the parking constraints clearer for potential customers, or the property owners should issue more permits for such a large-group property.

Great condo, great location, great stay!

This house is perfect for winter or summer. Lots of beds and great hang out space. We stayed for 5 nights and have nothing but great things to say about it. Beach gear was plentiful, washer and dryer were great to have, beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. This is a great rental!
