Comfortable ski house

This cute A Frame house has a lot of great amenities, including a one car attached garage and a loft that has an actual door that closes on the sleeping space - so many lofts are fully open to below and thus loud! Check in was easy. Thanks!

Spacious mountain home in a quiet forest

This ceiling mountain home has tons of space for a good size group and is in a quiet forested neighborhood but close to Truckee amenities.

Clean Truckee cabin

Very clean cabin in great location. However the cabin got extremely hot. Also the couches are not very comfortable. Overall we had a good time!

Great Potential

The home is cute and comfortable with great space for a family. Unfortunately the lack of cleanliness and needs for maintenance around the home took away from its charm. The driveway and road leading to the home are extremely steep. Even with chains on a large truck it was difficult to navigate. With some better care for this home and improved instructions for guests this home could have great potential.

Freezing in Tahoe

Our heat did not work and did not have a direct contact to rectify. We would appreciate at least a portion of our stay be credited due to the property not being habitable for one of two nights. There was also a large hole in the bathroom wall upon arrival and deck was extremely dirty. Our impression from the listing was there was a private hot tub and there was not.

Great place for the entire family

Loved this place and would stay there again. They had places to work from which was nice for my hubby and I. They had games, many places to sit and tons of dishes to cook with. A great space for the kids in the upstairs room. Only things that could be improved on in my opinion. It was a little hard to contact Vacasa the property management prior to arriving. It was very delayed and or did not get a reply at all. While on the day of and through out the trip, they were amazing and very communicative. Another thing would be a place to sit and or eat on the porch, beautiful space and a BBQ but all the chairs and table were broken. Lastly the master bed was very, very hard. Not a good night sleep.

Good size home

We liked our stay in this home, specifically the size (for 5 adults plus kids) and location. The back area was nice for well behaved outdoor loving pets to run around in. The garage is a spacious one for a single vehicle. The kids enjoyed the upstairs loft, and played lots of Candyland and Battleship. We appreciated the crib (we usually bring ours so this saved us some trunk space). We are frequent renters in the area, so this feedback is based on our experience compared to others and the price paid. This is a decent place to stay, overall it’s rated 3 because we unfortunately cannot outright recommend it without caveats. It is very likely this place is better suited for the summer- there are challenges with the heating system - the downstairs rooms, next to the furnace are too hot at 68F, and upstairs too cold. There is a nice patio and we saw a grill out, great for summer. Generally the home missed some basic items - minimal to no shelving / drawers in the bedrooms as well as some kitchen items we have always found in other homes. But we were able to still use the kitchen to make multiple meals. Overall it’s a good size home in a great area (we are partial to Tahoe Donner); we didn’t feel cramped and that was what we were paying for!

Great house, HORRIBLE property management company

The house itself was fine, and in a desirable location. That's where my positive review ends. Vacasa was horrible to work with and we will never rent from them again. A previous tenant put in for a maintenance request regarding a towel bar that fell off the wall in the upstairs bathroom. We noted the hole in the wall when we checked in but were not bothered by it. Vacasa sent a maintenance worker into the home during our stay while we were out of the house for the day and did not inform us this would be happening. We received zero communication about this and only realized someone had been in the home upon noticing the hole had been patched. I immediately contacted customer support as this was a breach of Vacasa's rental agreement, local tenant laws and an invasion of our privacy and safety. The customer support manager tried her best to help, but the local property manager refused to call me. Vacasa was in the wrong, but did not take accountability. They refunded our taxes and fees, but provided no other assistance. There are many other quality properties managed by far better companies. You're better off going with someone other than Vacasa.

Awesome place

The home was incredibly comfortable and wonderfully decorated. Our group stayed for a few days and it was a very enjoyable stay. It was a good distance from Tahoe and was close to the various hiking areas nearby. We will definitely come back for future trips. Thank you so much!
