We enjoyed the Donner Rim trail- right out the back door and several 5 star hikes in Tahoe NF within a 20 minute drive. Excellent common areas for the eight of us to enjoy a dinner or a movie.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home overlooking Donner Lake. The view was breath taking! The home was very spacious, comfy beds, nice hot tub and indoor sauna! We also truly enjoyed the very comfortable outdoor seating! And thank you Tahoe Getaways for responding so quickly when we needed help with the sound system! We hope to be back!

Beautiful setting - spacious decks on two levels with great Donner Lake views, privacy and hot tub. Lots of comfortable living spaces on three levels. Well equipped open kitchen. Luxurious sleeping arrangements for all. Short drive to Rec Centers and downtown Truckee. Steady freeway background noise sounds like waterfall.

This was our second stay. While the house is the perfect size for our family and the location and views wonderful, the kitchen and its contents never feels very clean. We always feel obliged to run the dishwasher for all the plates, glasses and utensils we use because we often find food on them. Some of the linens were so heavily perfumed, I had to put my own clean shirt over my pillow case. It would not take much to make this house a total joy. But it has to feel clean. I don't think we will be returning next year.

This home has an amazing view of Donner Lake. The deck is spectacular and we spent a lot of time each morning and evening on the deck. It does not have a table so dining on the deck required us to balance our meals on our lap. The house comfortably fit the 9 of us although there were complaints about the mattresses and especially the sofa bed in the game room. We had to bring an air mattress for my daughter who was sleeping up there. My one big complaint/concern is that there are no screens on the windows or french doors leading to the deck. It was very hot during our stay and we needed to keep the doors and windows open to cool off the house. That is generally not an issue for us, however, without screens we shared the house with a lot of bugs. One night I counted six little black bugs in the bed in the bed in the primary bedroom. It was suggested by both the mgmt co and my husband that we keep the lights off in the evening so as to avoid attracting bugs, but I can not function in a dark house, especially one that is not my regular home!! Also, I am not person that screams at the sight of bugs. For this reason, I will not consider renting this house again and I will be certain to ask in the future if any house I am renting has screens! Didn't think that was something I needed to double check. I debated the rating... I went to a 4 because of the size and view, but really would rate it as a 3. We had few requests of the Tahoe Getaway, but they responded promptly with our requests.

So the majority of house is pretty clean. They had pots and pans and some glasses to use that were all super gross and greasy. They make you put everything in the dishwasher and turn it on when you leave. Unfortunately I don’t think they clean them anymore than that. The inside shelves of the fridge had chunks of food in the corners. Took them two days to respond to a question of how to use the stereo and they didn’t even answer how to do it they just asked if I still couldn’t get it. The sauna took too long to warm up and we never used it. Bear proof trash cans were all full so we had to take our trash with us. Nice location and great house but the cleanliness will never make me want to return. Especially getting reamed for the “cleaning fee”

Great house lots of room for a big family views were great hot tub worked nicely. air conditioning would have been a plus!!! TVs and stereo system are not working we’re hoping to watch some football and listen to music in the main room and none of that functioned properly even after checking with the property management and giving us instructions coming to find out they’re not operational at all.

Beautiful cabin! Would recommend supplying basic kitchen stuff, though: salt, pepper, olive oil. We couldn't find any kitchen towels. and just an FYI, the main floor bedroom - the right side sink is clogged

Had a great time sitting in the hot tub watching the sunset, cooking, hiking, and being together. We even saw an asteroid shower from the deck! Our only issue is the stairs are not lit very well and the wood flooring made it hard to see where the edges of the stairs are (the dog refused to go down). But we just used great care. The decor is seriously western with a LOT of up-cycled farm equipment/cowboy art. The TV equip was so hard to use we quit trying. We had a few issues (like a rusty old BBQ ) but the manager was on them and even brought us a loaner for a birthday dinner!. Thanks for a great stay!

This is an amazing house that provided everything we were hoping for...and more! Extremely well appointed kitchen, lots of room for our big family to spread out. The beds were super comfortable and bedrooms spacious. The best part was the jacuzzi on the deck...we spent every evening relaxing and taking in the glorious view. We will definitely book this property again. Tahoe Getaway was super easy to work with, and the check-in and check-out process was seamless.

We loved our stay here. The views were amazing and the house has everything you could need. We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen and with the bbq, and spent a ton of time at the house relaxing and playing games. The management company was very responsive and friendly, and clearly know what they are doing. Highly recommended.

we stayed here for a full month and absolutely loved it - we didn't want to leave! It is a large property for a group, has very nice furnishings, and is well maintained. Our only issue was the hot tub since it wasn't working for the first couple weeks, but the property manager did get it fixed. Highly recommend!
